Jordan is the greatest until he's dethroned, but LeBron is making a strong push.
Neither one of them is the GOAT, Jordan is the greatest NON BIG, but Wilt Chamberlain is the GOAT.

The Big Dipper is the most dominant individual player who ever stepped foot on a basketball court.

He would humiliate Jordan or James in a game of one-on-one.

I gotta be honest with you, I don't really care that much. Jordan is the standard LeBron is compared to.

Thats fine, I'm just saying, the people who anoint Jordan as the GOAT (i.e. the standard) are mostly people who never saw Wilt in his prime. Wilt Chamberlain was the most dominant force in the history of the game. He was basically a combination of Shaq's size and strength, Hakeem's athleticism and skill, and Bill Russell's defense. You combine all three and you have Wilt Chamberlain. As the video said, Wilt had more 50+ scoring games in SINGLE SEASONS than Jordan did for his whole career. Wilt averaged 50 PPG, then led the league in blocks, FG%, rebounds and one time even assists!

I don't mean once or twice. Wilt consistently led the league in nearly every stat that matters, by a lot. He is the Babe Ruth of Basketball. There has never, ever been a more dominant individual player in the NBA than Wilt.

A lot of nba fans don't remember Jordan playing, let alone watching wilt.

Personally I think they're like collectible cars. There's different makes and generations, and they're all classics, but everybody has their favorite, and perhaps a little personal bias.

Wilt, West, Jordan, LeBron and more are definite classics.

There were a lot of great players and for the rest of them the list is at least somewhat subjective. I would say Jordan is second, but there are others you can argue for. But lets say for the sake of discussion that its Wilt and Jordan. I think the one stat cited in that video ends the debate, if we're talking about INDIVIDUAL TALENT and not TEAM SUCCESS. Jordan scored 50+ Points in a Game 31 times in his career. Wilt scored 50+ Points 45 times in a single season! The man averaged 50+ for an entire season. That alone tells you there is no argument about who was the better offensive player, and if Jordan wasn't the better offensive player, he falls even further behind when you consider the amount of times Wilt led the league in rebounding, FG% and blocked shots. Aside from his offensive skills, Wilt was also the most dominant rebounder and shot-blocker in NBA history.

Oscar is another guy who tragically gets ignored in these conversations, but if you look at his numbers, you can make an argument that he was better than Jordan, his numbers are that awesome. Oscar is definitely in my all-time TOP 10.

Or it tells you about the average level of play.

some younger NBA fans might remember isaiah thomas from his coaching/executive days with the knicks & as a NBA commentator.. the guy may creep but he would still be a superstar in today's game.. he had an absolutely timeless game..
