Just something to think about, but Crowder had more receptions & more yards and made $9.5M last year on the first year of his deal.![]()
I have read reports of $10 ,$12 and $15 million. I think they are all false. I'd bet his agent has advised him to test the market and see both how much $ is offered and what teams make the offer. $10-12 mill per year from The Chiefs, Ravens, Patriots and a bunch of others has to be more appealing than the same amount from the Jets and there's no Adam Gase to deal with. You're right Tony. A golden opportunity missed there. Now his improved stats have gone to his head. Like I said though, he deserves to get paid for his skill but not exorbitantly. Rumor has it he's asking min 12mil.
Because he was Darnold's check down option and he constantly missed Anderson. Both Gase and Douglas said exactly that in their end of year pressers. A more developed QB and better line, Crowder's production drops and Anderson's increases by a wide margin.Just something to think about, but Crowder had more receptions & more yards and made $9.5M last year on the first year of his deal.![]()

He actually targeted Anderson more than either Herndon or Enunwa last year and this year he targeted Anderson near the same # of times with the exception of the first and last game. 10 more targets week 1 and 5-6 more week 17.That just may be Darnold to be honest. Last season he went to Enunwa and Herndon a ton! He just seems to like bigger targets, so is Anderson really the guy you want to spend on??
