Very difficult to be an offensive coach without an offensive line. Let Douglas fix the line and then we can make fair judgement on them all : Gase, Darnold, Bell, Anderson.......

It really is farcical. For as long as I remember, this team has been stuck in a cycle of Team underperforms, ownership/GM fires HC, ownership/GM hires the wrong HC for the wrong reasons, fans eventually hate the HC and call for his ouster, ownership/GM pledge their trust and faith in the HC, HC crashes and burns further, team underperforms, ownership/GM fire the HC, ownership/GM hires the wrong HC for the wrong reasons...Ad infinitum.

I will claim half credit. The other half goes to Al Michaels for when he tried to save the dunce Peter Jennings from a phone prank during OJ Simpson's white Bronco escapade.. It's an absolute classic from the days when I listened to Howard Stern every day without fail.
Go to approx. 1:20 in the video when Al tries to help a befuddled Jennings. I never understood how he could think someone with that cliche/derogatory accent could be real. LOL!

From his time as our HC, my wife still calls him Pom-Pom Pete. Any time Seattle is on TV she wants them to lose because of Pete. There are lots of folks out here who just despise the guy.
yeah but why? he coached 1 year and got sent away for Kotite. One of the worst moves ever. and I liked him as our defensive coordinator.

Like you, I liked Pete as Coslet's DC. I think his never ending cheerleader routine grated on people. Trying to be friends with the players, taking them of field trips, etc. Just came off as goofy without substance. Plus, it's not like he had all the answers as our HC. We went 6-10, losing the last five (I think).
Gun to my head, I think Hess wanted Kotite here. And when he was fired in Philly, they jumped at the chance to put him here. Agree that bringing in Kotite was mind-numbingly stupid.
