Jets fans. If the Steelers called for the 10th pick,
would you be ok moving back to 20?
10th pick is worth 1300 points
20th, their 2nd and 4th is worth 1400.
Would you do it?
Trey McBride stock has entered first roundI'd certainly have to consider it. It would depend on who we wanted in round one and would they be there at 20.
Pittsburgh would want to jump up for a QBWould depend on what's available at #10. What are the Jets passing on? They need elite players not JAGs.
Trey McBride stock has entered first round
Trey McBride was very well utilized in his college system as a versatile chess piece. McBride was used as a possession receiver, wide out, H-back, and even as a fullback and excelled in those roles. Trey was a three-sport talent in high school, still holding his high school’s career records in points scored (basketball), home runs, and runs batted in. He is simply an athletic freak of nature and a generally interesting person. This is why I said consider but depends
Pittsburgh would want to jump up for a QB
nothing missing for us, plenty of talent in round 2 and 3 and an additional 2nd helps us
Just because you draft a player high doesn’t make him elite . You can draft an elite player in the 6th round .Would depend on what's available at #10. What are the Jets passing on? They need elite players not JAGs.
I think I might do it for a 2nd and 3rd. I know the points don't line up, but a QB should hold more value. JD has fleeced many teams so I expect nothing else from a 1st round pick swap.
Depends who we're passing on at #10. As others have said, we need quality not more dross,
So you kind of answeredplayoff teams who are stacked with starters and depth at those positions load up on them in those rounds.
So you kind of answered
We’re no wheres near a playoff team
Aren’t stacked with starters
Nor any depth
So what are we going to load up on ?
Someone told me once before that’s too many trades .correct...not right now.
but just for kicks, say we trade back both firsts for later 1sts, a second and third for each trade. we walk out with:
2 firsts.
4 2nds all day.
3 3rds all day.
get your impact players in the first....DE and CB; where they are normally drafted to plug and play.
then you get RG, RT, and C to plug and play with a combo of 2nds and 3rds...where they are normally drafted to plug and play.
a safety in the 2nd or third...where they are normally drafted to plug and play.
a LB in the 2nd or third...where they are normally drafted to plug and play.
a TE in the 2nd or third...where they are normally drafted to plug and play.
a DT in the 2nd or third...where they are normally drafted to plug and play.
now, your looking at a team added to Lawson, Q, JFM, Hall, Carter II, Ecchols, Quincy & MO on D
now, your looking at a team added to Zach, Carter, Eli, Cory, Becton, AVT on O.
to start the year, we won't win much, but at the end, we will look like a playoff team.
the key is drafting for quantity at spots where positions yield quality.
