Never had the pleasure of watching this guy play. Not that remember anyway. Think he retired way before 1982.

I may have seen him play at Shea stadium. Great underrated player who held 2 major receiving records upon his retirement. One was broken by Charley Taylor a season or two later, the other lasted for more than a dozen years.

Like Fitz on AZ If he had good qb's for all of his years the two of them may have been the greatest of all time. He has an extra gear that he could shift in. One of a kind in my book as is Fitz

this guy was highly ranked in many statistical categories for years before the modern era of passing pushed him way down........TDs was one he hung in there for a long a time.

He applied to my dad for a job in the early 70s. Along with a few other ny sports stars. I wish I had kept his application. My dad did not hire any of them including Don

I will never forget the catch he made in the championship game against Oakland at Shea. Fingertip catch of a bomb from Joe in weather like today’s, but much windier.
