Bills receiver Percy Harvin thinks one of the best offenses in the NFL this year will reside in Buffalo.
“Sky’s the limit,” Harvin told the Democrat & Chronicle. “We think once we get in training camp, everyone is going to be in tip-top shape, this offense is going to be very scary.”
In recent years, the Bills’ offense has been scary in a bad way. But Harvin meant that in a good way, pointing out that there’s talent at running back (LeSean McCoy and Fred Jackson), tight end (Charles Clay) and wide receiver (Robert Woods, Sammy Watkins, Chris Hogan and Marquise Goodwin, along with Harvin himself).
“How are teams going to face us? Are they going to take away the run? Are they going to stop the tight ends? Are they going to try to take away the wide receivers? Are they going to use two safeties over the top? Are they going to double-team a wide receiver? Whatever the defense tries to take away, we feel like we’ve got another option on offense,” Harvin said.
Harvin worked with wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal on the Jets last year, and now Lal is the wide receivers coach of the Bills. Harvin likes what he’s learning from Lal.
“I was just dying to get that coach who just wanted to sit down and get the best out of me,” Harvin said.
Now the question is whether the Bills can find a quarterback who can get Harvin the ball.
