The last 3 cuts today will be....RB Daryl Richardson, DL Kevin Vickerson, and....maybe LB Taiwan Jones ???

I am guessing DE Jordan Williams will be among the cuts. Maybe instead of Taiwan Jones who I expect may end up on the PS. Think they may want to give him a long look against the Eagles.

They have to cut a DL so Leonard can get a decent number.

The Jets began paring down their roster on Sunday, cutting 12 players.

The biggest names were wide receivers T.J. Graham, Saalim Hakim and DeVier Posey. Graham played in 12 games for the Jets last year, catching one touchdown. Hakim played in 19 games over the last two years for the Jets, primarily on special teams. The Jets acquired Posey as part of a draft-day trade from the Texans.

The other players cut were: WRs Austin Hill and Jonathon Rumph, TE Matt LaCosse, OL James Brewer and Dalton Freeman, LB Bryan Johnson and DBs Javier Arenas, Curtis Brown and Keith Lewis.

The Jets now have 78 players on their roster. They must get to 75 by 4 p.m. Tuesday. The roster must then be trimmed to 53 players by 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Either Dozier or Wesley Johnson. I think it was Johnson who got 2nd team snaps at Center last night.

Yeah It's Johnson that took his spot. He has been getting 2nd team reps since camp begun. They tried Dolzier in OTA's and some in mini camp. Guess it didn't work out.

LB Taiwan Jones is not going anywhere until one of the last few cuts, Jets will want to practice squad this kid. He is only 21 years old and has tremendous upside, and we will need more backup talent at ILB.

Its very hard to predict these last three cuts because they might keep certain positions just to have cannon fodder for the last preseason game, so they are not forced to play guys who are making the team, or at least not play them too many snaps and risk injury. So, for example, I predicted Keon Lyn and Deshaun Phillips would be amongst the next three, but its possible we keep them until the final cuts so they can play significant minutes verses Philly.

How about we keep Enunwa instead of one of the TEs - he lined up as H-back quite a bit last night. This could open a roster spot for another wr. I would love to have a weapon like Powell in the return game.

I don't know how this is going to play out, but I know one thing: Jace Amaro isn't going anywhere. He was a second round draft pick, and played reasonably well with sub par QB play last season. Anyone who wants to tell me that players like Walt Powell, Quincy Enunwa, Shaq Evans, or any other player in danger of being cut is a better decision over Amaro...well....

:i-dont-know-smiley-

I don't think Quigley is sticking.

He might if nothing better hits the waiver wire, but if something better gets waived, I expect the Jets to put in a claim, and we have a high waiver priority based on last year, so its a claim we have a real chance to win.
