The unofficial roster is set prior to the draft and nothing is cemented in stone but the roster looks to be competitive in many positions, take a look at what seems to be a better offensive line and if any additions for development should be addressed this draft or via trades...
Center: Jon Toth or Jonathan Harrison <<< Harrison played well when asked to step in as a starter but the contract he signed is no where what a salary for a starter would get in the open market, simply stating he has a chance but more than likely he will be the backup... As for Toth the jury is still out where he fits, but his pedigree gives him a slightly higher shot to earn the starting role unless the team is focusing on the draft or still seeking a free agent signing or possible trade at this point in time...
Tackle: Last season had to open many peoples eyes that Beachum can be a quality left tackle but his age is against him... After Carpenter was placed on IR and Long was moved to guard showed that with a capable option at guard Beachum was capable of manning that left tackle position... But with that said his age and slight deterioration due to injuries over his career he may have two to three solid year left even tho he is currently in his contract year... Depth behind him is minimal based on talent margin, and there is no developmental option currently on the roster... As for his counterpart Brandon Shell looks to earned the respect and deserves to remain the starter for the foreseeable future...
Guard: With the cut bait cap casualty move of Spencer Long, Brian Winter and his new found counterpart Osemele will be intricate interior presence for our line and sophomore QB Sam Darnold... The free agency move to bring in veteran Tom Compton should be a plus...
