Question for TCT and anyone else who doesn’t want Saleh to be the New York Jets HC. If Saleh can coach this team, especially with MW to two more victories and a playoff berth, do you want to keep him then or still get Sean Peyton or whomever? I like Saleh and Joe D and want them to both stay. I’m just curious?

Saleh is in his 2nd year as a HC and deserves time to show if he will succeed or fail. IMO he has already exceeded expectations for the season. Prior to start of the season, no one believed we would be in the playoff hunt, and the early success moved the goalposts (which isn't fair either).

He showed he can adapt, he made mistakes but seems willing to make the hard decisions to help the team succeed. Big question now becomes, can he learn and adapt this offseason, and make the hard calls (in regards to his staff). LaFleur is a liability (IMO), he has some serious learning and growing he needs to do himself. Can he learn? Can he change? Only time will tell, but Saleh needs to fix that situation.

I think it's too early to make a call on the CS (all of them). They've all made mistakes, they are all new to this. The same way we gives players time to develop, this is a new/young staff, we have to give them some time to develop as well. I asked for growth and improvement, and they've given us that. This season (regardless of playoffs) is a success IMO

Saleh is a second year coach. I know I was far from perfect when I started my profession. IMO he shows more promise than anyone since Parcells. To switch coaching staff yet again this early would be insane. We need some continuity. If no one moved the goalposts and you were told that we were not eliminated from the playoffs and still had a chance in January, I guarantee you that 80% of you would have taken this happily.

I originally figured 7-8 wins and no playoffs. 9 wins at most but still no playoffs and I would have been more that happy with any of that. Compared to last year. Well, I got sucked in early this year like most and expected playoffs. I mean 6-3 and 7-4 will do that to a person.

But now the bottom has fallen out and it’s frustrating as shit but I see no reason to start over with the coaching or GM regime. They’ve all done a excellent job with the adversity they had to face, especially Saleh. If anything, they all need to be given an extension if you ask me!

Get the QB and oline position straight and we’re on our way to being a very strong team for years to come. Truth be told, they may already have both situations taken care of. We got M-F’n-W who appears to be more than competent to lead this team and injuries killed this oline.

If both can come back healthy next year and stay that way, we’re good. Plus, we know Joe D will bring in some depth at both positions! This team is still alive for whatever reason this late in the season and that is amazing enough. So, lets ride with them and see where this goes.

I don't hate Saleh, but I know Sean Payton is a proven winner. Saleh might be a great coach, but Payton already is. If we win out and make the playoffs he will be here for awhile. I think Saleh has done a decent job and I think JD has done a decent job as well. Sad thing is JD is the best thing since Parcells. I just want to win and I think every position in the organization should be improved upon when possible. I think Payton is an upgrade, but maybe he sucks without Brees. What the hell do I know.

I voted I don't care who the head coach is I just want win. The only thing I care about is who the QB is. Don't want it to be Mayfield or Tom Brady.

Like Oraelo and hatnlvr stated, this team needs some consistency at the coaching and GM and the consistent turn over ever 2-3 years doesn't work. This team is a year ahead of where they are supposed to be and that should buy the entire regime more years than less!

A year ahead? They have won 7 games. That progress, but that should one expected. Playoffs this year and I agree they are ahead. No playoffs and they are on schedule at best.

Bringing Mayfield in to back up MW or content with him for the starting job would probably be a great thing. Mayfield is still young and has that dog in him like MW. He might be a better QB than MW or maybe he just had more chances to prove it, being a #1 overall pick. He should come in cheap (maybe I'm wrong on that) but how could he ask for a whole bunch of money with his track record this past two years? Tom Brady, I get but Baker Mayfield might be just up our alley.

Just as long as they get rid of Zach Wilson, I'm good!!!

I've seen what Mayfield is and he has hit his ceiling. He is a distraction. Rather bring in Minshew.

What I'm saying is they are ahead of schedule because the playoff was a no brainer if they had consistent QB play all year. With MW playing all year, this is a 10-win team at the worst right now, and on its way to 1-2 more wins before the playoffs. This team was ready for the playoffs this year, but QB play, and injuries (o-line specifically) held them back and they still have a chance to make the playoffs. Even after losing 4-games in December. Thats what I mean!

Minshew is a great choose also. I can go with him. I just don't want Jimmy G or Carr because I feel they will cost too much, and I believe in MW. I feel he can be what this team needs. He just needs to stay healthy.

Mike White has 2 games to prove he can be clutch. Despite playing well in his games he just hasn’t been able to pull out the wins late in games. He’s got these last two games to change the narrative.

Let me make this clear I'm not against Saleh, but there is a better HC available and this team could be close next year. Win these next two games and it doesn't matter. Lose them with poor clock management and then this becomes a bigger question.

I think LaFleur is still the problem. Can't score in the red zone with 4 different QB's. Thats a coaching problem not QB.

Coming out of this season, I honestly feel it's hard to not call this a success. What were we slotted to win by the experts?? 4-5 wins?

I'm trying to put the whole season into perspective and not judge us on the last 6 game mess. Some of this was a learning experience (trying to show the #2 draft pick support, instead of recognizing early that he wasn't ready and needed more time), is 100% a gaffe on the CS.

Most were lured into believing it was something that it was clearly not because of the record (we were always winning in-spite of him, never because of him). Several here argued me to death with supporting Zach even with the clear obvious problems.

CS has some growing up to do. We have lessons learned, but I've seen enough from Saleh to believe he will do what's in the teams best interests (regardless of outside noise).

QB position needs to be shored up, O-Line needs to be shored up, and OC needs to be shored up. If Saleh was a proven HC who brought in his own guys, maybe 2 years is enough to evaluate. But unfortunately that isn't the case, and he's shown that he can get results pretty fast.
