sources, it sounds like the New York Jets' initial inclination is to go with an offensive tackle or cornerback with their first-round pick. The Jets have the 11th-overall pick, so there should be some good options available as the 2020 NFL Draft has a strong class of offensive tackle talent. Team sources say there could be four tackles who go as top-20 pick, with that group consisting of Georgia's Andrew Thomas, Louisville's Mekhi Becton, Iowa's Tristan Wirfs and Alabama's Jedrick Wills. One source thought Becton could be a fit for New York from those four.

Was listening to Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller's interview of Gandy-Golden and came away very impressed with him. Sounds like a thoughtful kid with good values, kind of what I'm hearing that Douglas is looking for, combined with talent of course. Interestingly, Kirwan asked him of all of the interviews he did with teams in Mobile which showed you the most interest and had a connection with. He said Jets. Is round 2 too early for him?

His mindset is much better than his skillset in my opinion. I think I'd pass on him.

Everything I read about the kid is positive. Skilled route runner, size, solid hands, pro's attitude and work ethic, etc. He gets open consistently and projects to a decent #2. His 40 time may hurt him, but if he's in the 4.5's he'd be a nice pick-up with our 3b pick.

great waste of our second 3rd with the kid being tallied at best as a mid late 4th round selection.

The Combine will be key for VJefferson. I could be wrong but I believe the 4th round projection is based on anticipation of a pedestrian 40-time. His skillset calls for a higher rating.

Beginning of the season he was touted as a 7th round, now with the talent at that position and so many other positions returning to school to go from a 7th to late 4th is a major improvement... Even if he runs a 4.5 iffy at the Combine still think he could go higher but being a late 4th isn't bad off for anyone because he will prove his worth when he is with his new team...

Unless he is being robbed to be a 1st round where the real money is then I would say lets debate this but after 1st round to be drafted shows you have talent regardless of where they put you, then it is time to go to work and prove the doubters wrong...

The 2 times I saw him play I was amazed at how well he catches the ball. I saw him haul in passes that I thought were out of reach and he pulled the ball in securely. But I also noticed that he struggled running routes and getting separation. I don't know about his speed but he didn't look that fast. Like I said though, I only saw him in action twice, but it was enough that I'd be a little squeamish about taking him sooner then the 3rd round. I guess I'd leave it to the scouts because they have more knowledge about him than I have. Right now though.............for me..........doubts.

Surprised about the route running, but separation is key. If he can't get it at the college level, pros will be a bigger problem.
