No matter which way you look at it, the reality is that if everyone who did something stupid that could have put a life in danger if a certain set of circumstances existed was jailed for 6 months, we'd have to turn a continent (and not one of the smaller ones) into a penitentiary.
I'm with you though, in saying he got lucky, and I hope he realizes and learns from it (as many of us do).
I can almost guarantee you if he wasn't Sheldon Richardson from Ferguson Mo. He would be in jail right now.
What about Richardson makes you think he's going to get it any time in the near future? Alright he failed his first pot bust. I guess shyt happens. I don't know how thought any one fails an NFL pot test. They know months in advance when the test will be. LOL how does that happen? Now they have random tests. He fails three more in the next year and a half.
The day before the 143 MPH chase through the streets breaks, he tells media thy will never see his name in a negative frame again.
While the Ferguson riots are going on he refers to the cops as Pigs. While Wilkerson hasn't said anything about his contract to stir anything in the locker room, Richardson is shooting his mouth off about Wilkerson's contract.
Where do you see this kid has learned anything at all? This whole relationship with the Jets is going to end badly. If his life continues on the trajectory it's on right now, it will probably end badly to.
It's a shame, the guys ridiculously talented, and I'm willing to bet he won't be with the Jets after his first contract. If he's still in the league. If the 22 year old kid up the street, who's got a nasty car, came up my street at a 143 MPH i'd want his ass in jail. I like the kid
