Well, after last season I said the winner of the Revis for Richardson trade was the Patriots...these latest actions only prove it further.

Funny, that was one of the trades the Idzik supporters hung onto for dear life as proof Idzik wasn't a terrible GM. Looks like even his best move is going up in smoke.

Now that time has passed, And the overreactions are over, I do think Sheldon is young enough to turn it around. People make mistakes and sometimes it comes in batches but this is a wake up call for him. Todd Bowles and the rest of the Jets are handling it really well and I think he will learn from this.

They are handling it extremely well...especially Bowles. There is another suspension for the kid on the way, and he's going to miss most of the season. I just hope he doesn't get fat and lazy while he's not allowed at the jets facility. Im not sure how much I trust him 12-14 weeks while he's not allowed to be around the jets and the jets arent allowed around him. Remember, this behavior happened after he was busted for smoking pot with 6 weeks to kill between one camp and another...now he'll be sitting around for 12-14 weeks not allowed around the team...we have to trust he works out and does what he needs to do...

One thing is for sure, it makes resigning him a hell of a lot easier...from a guaranteed money standpoint.

How did you know Richardson would be in this mess at the time of the draft?

Does that look like a good Idzik draft pick as of today? Not sure #7 looks like Favre...but he does look better than Fitzpatrick. The bar is real low these days.

The worst of all of Idzik's 2 years of picks is currently still "our QB for now and the beginning of TC" according to Gaily, and we all know what a third year of Jamarcus 2.0 will do to ruin another season for Jet fans.

We'll see about that SG. Right now, nothing negative has come out of camp for Geno and even you should be giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Geno has deserved some criticism over two years. But the fact that he's having a very good camp thus far should be cause for at least some optimism. I know it's only TC, but he's off to a great start. That's encouraging. He's been hitting Marshall in red zone drills, and sometimes with Revis covering him.

The gun is not an issue for me. Kid in the car while speeding is a huge issue. Nobody knows if he was smoking.

And considering he just got suspended ( after failing numerous times) less than two weeks before , raises serious issues. Will he ever get it?

Some need to admit that even if he becomes better than aaron Rodgers and helps us win 4 Super Bowls in a row they would still hate him for "whatever" reason. There are "aspects" of Geno that people will never like. There are ugly people in the world, and some are jets fans.

Truth is, gaily has made dreadful QBs look solid, and it appears he may be on his way to doing it again. It's impossible to tell how much is Geno improving versus Gaily, but after 5 mistake free practices, there's no reason to bot be "cautiously optimistic" that Gaily can do it again unless there is a dark seeded bias, and with some, there appears to be.

If he throws 4 INTs tomorrow, I'd understand giving up on him. But he's been near perfect paired with gaily. I have a hard time believing there isn't some other reason than his play for this much hate from certain directions...

Reviewing this thread reminded me how pleasant things have been around here lately - interpret that as you wish.

In regards to Sheldon he better come back with the chip Brady always seems to have when he wants to prove something. There's no better ending to this than for Sheldon to knock Brady down a few pegs (or out of the game) . . .
