Probably best we could do. He was a cancer. Kearse would have been released probably, but if we get a 2nd then it was worth it.

Schefter said we are getting a second round pick. We are also swapping 7th round picks.
So technically they are getting a 6th round since the Jets suck worse than any team in the league.

What do do you think of getting a second for Sheldon? I think that's much better than I thought we'd get.
It sucks to see him go because at one point I thought he'd be a star but his attitude didn't fit the team. He'll be a good player for Seattle.
I think a 2nd is great since he is one issue away from a long suspension. His attitude sucks and he would want to break the bank. Kearse is a veteran even though he is average at best. Poor guy is going to hate playing for the Jets.

everyone here knows the pros & the cons with richardson, so i won't bother with them..
if the details of the trade are accurate, i can't see how we could have done much better, if at all.. frankly, i would have been OK with trading him for bag of rocks!!

A second round pick Richardson right now is great. His stock is down after his performance/stats last year.He is a nickle bag away from a year suspension.

I been critical of Mac but this is a very good "value" trade for us.. Way to go mac. Hello Kony Ealy - After last nights game I am thinking Mac pulled the trigger. Mr E can fulfill SR spot, add depth and RUSH the passer.

You really think cancer? Very irresponsible for sure and never a team leader, but cancer I would reserve for someone like Geno. Sheldon for me was just immature.
Who could be displeased with this trade? I would have preferred to get an OL for Sheldon, but the 2nd will be great for us in the draft.
I can't imagine what Jermaine Kearse could have done to be sent to the Jets? He must have pissed somebody off something awful.
Well he argued last year with Marshall and then couldn't keep his mouth shut. He continued to say he was going to get top dollar. He was a combination of not being a leader and being a bad locker room guy. A second rounder which will be closer to our 3rd round was the best we could do because of what kind of character Sheldon had not his talent. And a 2nd round pick would be great for every other team, but Jets have failed in the 2nd round. All in all this was the best we could do because of Richardson. Glad he gone.
