Should the Jets break up their talented defensive line?

I'll be pleasantly surprised if Richardson sees the field at all next year.

I am continually dumbfounded by our lack of effort to lock up Wilkerson. Only thing I can think of is they are going to trade him for a bunch of picks? Terrible idea if they are.

Snacks is a beast on the middle. NTs with his ability and durability are much harder to come by than DEs.

NO FREAKING WAY you let any of these guys end up with Rex in Buffalo.

wasn't sure where to put this, but mel kiper named leonard williams his defensive rookie of the year.

Defensive rookie of the year

Leonard Williams, DE, Jets

He played nearly 800 snaps, was outstanding against the run, helped free up teammates to rush the passer, and actually did some great work in pushing the pocket himself. You really have to watch Williams on every snap because stats won't do him justice. I had him as the No. 1 overall player in the 2015 NFL draft, and I think he lived up to that. And yes, he was a total steal at No. 6 for New York. Great work by that front office.

the trouble with Harrison is he is a run down NT only. In a league going more pass happy, I'm not sure investing big dollars in Snacks is the best way to go.

Premium nose tackles get around 4-5 MM per year. For one of the best blocker eating players in the game who's stout against the run I would sign him. My thought is that they will put feelers out on Richardson to see what he'll bring back in draft picks...

no

out of all the veterans on our offensive line, Mangold is one that I would keep unless we get an offer too good to pass up...

and am talking about draft pick compensation not someone else's left overs...
His injury cost us the playoffs, enough said. We sucked without him.

I don't think you can trade a franchise tagged player. So that doesn't make sense. What the keys did, made sense. You get the most out of a guy in a contract year. Guess what, mo had a career year, he didn't even miss 3 games with turf toe this year. No we franchise him, and again he's playing for a contract.

The gm gets to watch him worth his own eyes before giving him a deal, and we evade the risk of paying him big money too soon. He still made 7 mill this year, 16 next, and still gets a big contract. At least we get 2 career years out of him.

Try 6 million dollars per year is the price D Harrison will most likely command . I wouldn't be surprised if the Giants targeted him first in free agency.( have the money this year)

Think the Pats are going to try to sign him.
