Actually you should check your own statements as you took one sentence and raced to a conclusion with knowing ZERO about who/what/where you are posting about.

After the past 2 weeks, I will say Moore is definitely playing better and showing some promise! Prior to the PAST 2 games! I stick by my guns! He showed no ability to get separation, no ability to make tough catches (he did have a very tough catch planted on his butt today that was impressive).

"Joe Douglas inherited a talent-poor depthless team"

Joe Douglas has taken every player with promise and traded them away. So your statement there can easily be flipped to "Joe Douglas has decreased the talent and depth on this team since he has taken over".

"But he has already increased the talent"

That statement is highly debatable! We aren't a competitive team, and still have more holes than answers. The defense is getting eaten alive, the O-Line can't block ANYONE (yet we keep spending 1st round capital on it year over year), and we still have NO #1 WR to speak of.

You can sling all the negative Nancy talk you want, but you are the one who took a post about the Team and tried to make it Personal. Try looking at your own statements and tactics before you start slinging accusations at others.
#1, increasing the talent from zero does not mean we would be fielding a competitive team this year, it means we have started to acquire the talent that, with time and development, along with more acquired talent, will enable us to become that competitive team. I listed several of the players that make me feel that, and there are others that I did not list. You are obviously entitled to your opinion as much as I am to mine, I was just expressing the way I see it. I did not intend anything as a personal attack, just a fundamental disagreement; if I worded it badly or you took it that way, I sincerely apologize.

Frankly, it seems to me that you don’t understand my point. I am not hung up on the won/loss record this year. Where did I say that I was in any of my posts in this thread, which I started, by the way?
My original point was that it was naive to expect the kind of development that we both want when so many of the key individuals were doing their jobs for the first time, mainly Saleh, LaFleur, and Zach. At the time, LaFleur was being heavily criticized, and I largely agreed with the criticism of him.
Lately, my attention has turned to Saleh, for the reasons that I stated in my previous post. I was ecstatic when he was hired, but I remain critical of some of his statements about the sanctity of his scheme.
I have already read the Cimini article, and don’t disagree with it.
If you want to argue with me, that’s fine, but argue about points that I actually made, not strawmen points that you make up.
My comment about wins and losses was in reaction to your complaint about not changing the scheme to give the CB help. My point was that while making such changes or "adjustments" might make a difference in winning or losing a game or two, that is far less important at this moment than continuing to build your system - which you believe will ultimately be a key to success - and seeing which players can grow into it. Let the young guys grow through failure, and perhaps by this time next year, the same players will not be beaten on the same plays.

nice post GMF1369.......a lot of collective thoughts presented nicely. To my fellow fans - losing is never easy and we have had more than our fair share for far too long. It will possibly get darker before it gets brighter. Jets are on pace for 9000 snaps by 1-2 year guys.......so expect some more rawness.

Well, in the example we are discussing, It is not a matter of giving a young player a chance to develop, even if it costs us a game or two. I would be ok with that, *if* I felt that the scheme itself made sense. However, to me this particular scheme doesn’t make sense, unless we have Willie Brown (How’s That for a reference to our younger days?), Deion Sanders, or Revis as our cb. I keep thinking about how Belichick will never let a team’s best player beat him. Remember how he completely took away Corey Davis, who was our best receiver then?
So this brings me back to Saleh’s inflexibility. I like Saleh as a leader of men. He is our best coach in that vein since Parcells. But, will Saleh self-examine, at least at the end of the season, and become more flexible with regard to his system? If you were the offensive coordinator of a rival team, wouldn’t you love to know that you can line up your best receiver in such a way that you would know that he will be getting single coverage on every single play?
