I disagree. U never had mono nor any1 close 2 u I'm guessing. Seriously, he won't be 'right' until next year. It's not helping that he has 2 every himself currently
Thank you... form everthing I read about it, its hould have taken him 8 weeks to recover but the lingering effects last for months.
Yeah, but most good teams split with other good teams. The NFC has a lot of competitive teams while the AFC doesn't really have too many. if you look at belichick, 99.9% of the time he betas the bad teams and against the respectable teams he splits or a little better. They usually have around 10 bad teams on their schedule and 5 or 6 respectable ones who they go 3-3 or 4-2 with. of course the Jets play the same schedule and stink up the joint. If only we could win against every bad team we play. That would be a great start
You're a medical professional so these words are impactful. If this is the case, as many said at the time, then Darnold should have been IR'd. Sounds like Gase and JD made another medically-related blunder pertaining to one of our players.

I did have mono . I missed a week of practice and 1 game in HS. Most people don't even know when they have Mono. Sam's was only diagnosed due to him having strep throat. Otherwise it would have gone undetected like 90% of the cases. There are people who suffer very severe cases but that's only a tiny % of the population. He lost a total of 3 pounds and after 1 week he said the hardest thing was feeling 100% and not being able to practice. You do realize that over 95% of the population have had mono. I would bet it's less than 1% that take a year or longer as you suggest to recover. Some people can die from a bee sting, saying bee stings are fatal is far from the truth. It can happen, but it's an outlier, very rare, same as Mono taking years to recover from. The last NFL player before Sam, missed 3 weeks total between OTAs and camp.
Darnold is fine and was fine with in a week or two. They took extra precautions to ensure his spleen wasn't enlarged . He didn't need to go on the IR. Darnold is probably the only player this franchise actually cares about. They have pretty much made that clear and Douglas said as much in his last press conference with his Darnold is the only untouchable player comment.
Well u got me beat then. I've never had it or... as u suggest, been diagnosed. I had NO idea it goes undiagnosed, as u suggest. I have 2 believe that these must be 'light' cases. Maybe I focus on extreme cases b/c of this. Regardless, it is possible he is still recovering & will b on the mend 4 awhile: just as it is likely, that he is fully recovered...
I bet if tested, you will find that you have hade it. If your over 20 years old, the likely hood is 95 % that you did and didn't have more than common cold symptoms like the majority of the population. The EBV has even become reactivated in rare cases and people can either have mono again, or just become contagious with no symptoms.

This was a good game for us as it allowed our players to grow. now win next week & this will be better......then the next step will be to beat the good teams but for now this is perfect
Not one person on here can say whether Darnold was fully recovered when he came back or is fully recovered now. I coach soccer players and have seen at least 3 kids not come back to full strength for over 10 months. Lots of factors come into play with mono.
I contacted Santa & gave him your list......He said he can't fire anyone because it upsets the kids too much but he will fly the banner over your house this year. He also said the OL weighs to much for the sled but he thinks the elves have enough to buy the team. He does have one request from you.......skip the milk & cookies & make it scotch & a steak sandwich........He said its too cold for milk & he gets hungry for real food.......one more thing Chris & Woody get coal this year & the D man gets a Casper doll.
