because he was having surgery on his none throwing shoulderwhy Trevor decided to have an early pro day.

Trey Smith was a high pick now fell off some to maybe 3rd round pick...round 2 than round 3
Trey Smith was a high pick now fell off some to maybe 3rd round pick...
to take a chance on him and instead of waiting for him to the 3rd round snatch him with the 2nd not like there is a 5th year team option...
could give you easily 5 prospects that would be late 2nd early 3rd round prospects that the Jets could garner with those 2nd round picks and literally have the team rebuilt with them...
I believe if done right the Jets could trade down from 2 grab 2 extra 2nds among other picks then with the 23rd pick a team with 2 2nds might want to climb back into the 1st that gives us 5 2nds while still giving us a Top 12 pick to grab a top prospect....
Like I said up there:
OC Quinn Meinerz
OG Trey Smith
DE Patrick Jones II
OT Alex Leatherwood
NT Jay Tufele
I am so up in the air on this one but Philly after trading Wentz should be in the market to trade up from 6 if not Philly if Panthers don't land Deshaun then they are definitely in the market... Also believe the 9ers are planning to draft someone and would like to move up...If last year was any indication, Trader Joe may accommodate. Would like to see a trade out of #2 to pick up some extra premium choices, both this year and next.
I welcome your recent addition to this board and appreciate all of your posts and insight. However, how is this any different from what everyone (media talking heads and us here) have been saying since the end of the season?Been giving this a ton of thought and have come to the realization that the Jets are in a much better position than most think . Based on my assumptions(yeah, i know ) the team needs to focus they energy on signing a WR who can be that go to target ( true #1}. Following that, it would be nice to explore that Edge rushing market to see who might fit into the new 43 defensive scheme .
Mostly, the Jets should concentrate on re-signing those players on the roster that they deem a fit to what it is being built . Doing this will allow this team even without making a single trade to address multiple starting positions with our 1st 3 picks however we choose .
Personally i would like to make our 1st selection for this Jet team at pick 12 by trading down either once or twice .
Jets can improved this team drastically making strategic free agent moves and drafting well .
P.S. Signing a free agent RB should be off the table . Spending big money again on yet another RB who has spent his best years on another team is not in the best interest of the New York Jets .
