I like that scenario….. but unfortunately we are still a couple years away from being competitive. With what Miami has done, we are going to get bombed into oblivion without a shut down corner . I guess I never knew how bad Mac destroyed this roster ……
the afc just evened itself out. A whole lot of teams that will be about as good as each other. Who's #1? Maybe Buffalo now? but not by a lot.
on the other hand, we could put together a forum team and compete for a wildcard in the nfc

I'd put my money on Buffalo as the 1 seed. Someone in the West could be the better team, but those 4 stacked teams gonna cannibalize each others records. Colts have to deal with Titans in the South. AFC North is always a slugfest. Buffalo could easily go 6-0 in the division, giving them a good leg up.

i think we are a DE pass rush specialist, and a pocket collapser next to Q to be in every single game we play.
i think JD & Saleh feel like that too, because there is no way in the world that we would give up 2 seconds and a third this year to get a 28 year old receiver if they didn't feel like they could make a playoff run in the short term.
if they felt like we were a couple of years out, they wouldn't have put those assets on the table.
