I miss understood you. Thought he was hired as OC. He has been our O line coach since 2015. Maybe he was extended.
I misread the coaches list. You are correct. He has been here all along but Morton was off the list and his name was now listed as OC and Jason Vrable as assistant. I guess I got everyone's attention. I said before sometimes I'm wrong. My excuse is I'm getting old.

Lol, does the name Andy Reid ring a bell. Head coach for two teams (if I’m correct) back to back for several years and hasn’t won one yet. Still a head coach till this day!
Note: trust me, there are many many many more of the white persuasion that have had these passes, as you say because we all know there have been hundreds (more like thousands) of more head coaches in the league that weren’t African American. That’s why they made something called the Roney rule and that was just to make sure black candidates could even get interviews. Not necessarily the job but just the damn interview!!!
The reports are actually quite the opposite. It appears that Morton refused Bowles suggestions regarding play calling and that was the main reason for his being fired.
Bowles wanted more runs on short yardage situations.
As for it being more of a passing league, the 4 teams remaining in the playoffs are in the bottom 1/2 of the league in pass to run ratio.
NE 16 the, Vikings and Eagles late 20s and Jax dead last.

First of all, I have NEVER ducked or avoided anything you may have sent me. Personally, I don't remember seeing anything from you. I don't come on here to start dealing with drama. I come here to post my thoughts on my favorite team. However, I do NOT like being called a racist because I posted what I still believe is a very valid reason why he's still employed. The last time Woody a man of color he got 5 years when there was no earthly reason for him to get 5 years. Rex might have gotten 6 years, but he did take the team to consecutive AFC championships. He had something on his resume, please tell does Herm or toilet have that on their resume?

Wondering if this also reflects on the CS's inability to work with and develop a young QB. Someone mentioned it earlier in the context of a huge investment in a 2018 draft pick, whomever that may be. Perhaps Morton was seen as a limited OC, who experienced limited success with a veteran albeit a journeyman QB. Being able to groom a young QB is a different ballgame altogether and it was time to cut bait. Todd Haley might be the sexy pick, but be careful what you wish for. He is a polarizing figure who has been successful, but has created drama in his last two stops and ultimately been fired as a result.

I came across a very interesting story recently written by Bruce Arians after his retirement a couple of weeks ago , It's a little long to post here so here I'd a link to it. I think it definitely puts to rest any chance of him joining the Jets staff as OC or any part of day to day operations.
I could see him in a consulting role, advisor but not coming to the NY/NJ area to live on a daily basis.

When people don't see it your way you get aggravated and post down to them... I don't care about statistics of who Woody Johnson hired or didn't hire... As for reasons why Todd Bowles has not been fired is because this team or the core group has shown fight in a REBUILD, which isn't a one and done... When Todd Bowles came here he inherited a Rex Ryan team and they played great the first year... A successful failure, and if they stripped the team after that successful failure the fans would of been irate... So they reloaded and tried to have another successful season with a chance at the playoffs but it backfired from the selfish players Ryan Fitzpatrick leading the group... So instead of trying to re up the roster again, they tore it all down... This is the reason, after all the so called experts said we wouldn't win SHIT, we went 5-11 but were in more games down the line from the fight of the players for their coach he got extended to see the rebuild further...
So for the consistent bullshit statements you are claiming are spot on, is spot off actually... Todd Bowles not Toilet, earned his extension... He has two years of the three he is contracted for to retool this roster from the ground up and become successful not because he is BLACK...
As for reasons why Rex Ryan was retained was he had the pulse of the fans as much as the players and he himself sold tickets... Woody Johnson has admitted he is a fan, first... A trust fund man with aspiration in politics finally figured shit out and allowed a trusted NFL entity to help him hiring the right people...
