I completely understand, though to be frank, If Darnold, Rosen, Allen and even Baker Mayfield seem to entice Mac, there is no question he needs to move up. He knows as we all do that this may be his final chance to redeem himself on landing a franchise QB. Think of it, i'am more than sure there were countless of Philadelphia Eagle fans hating the fact that their organization traded so much for an unknown Carson Wentz from a division II school. Those same fans are all wearing his jersey.
In the immediate future it may seem horrible, especially if a fan doesn't like how a QB has performed in college. Its understandable to be upset when a team mortgages so much into a player. Though with that being stated, this is a position in which you, I and the rest of this board have been waiting to suplant Joe Namath as a QB we can be enamored with in taking us to the next level.
If Macagnan has his heart set on a top QB this April and he pulls the trigger, then i'am all for it. If he has the guts to place his job on the line for a move as such, then i'll place my subjective views to the side and see how it unravels.
There's a difference between the Eagles roster and the Jets currently roster.
Top ranked O Line , great receivers, running backs and D. Much like Dak in Dallas.
When you have a solid roster, you can give up picks. When you have holes at the most important positions on both sides of the ball, it's a recipe for disaster.
I honestly think Mac needs a great free agency period one draft, or both he and Bowles could be unemployed in the near future.
