His 18-yard TD run was the longest by a Jets' QB since Richard Todd (1980). Todd Bowles joked with Fitzpatrick on the sideline, saying they should install the read-option. No thanks, Fitzpatrick replied.

They changed up their running game, going outside more than usual. Said G Willie Colon: "He can outrun a lot of guys and a lot of safeties and corners don't want to tackle him one-on-one when they see him coming."
