Since the Jets are not playing this weekend, might as well have a game thread for the other NFL games.

Obviously the game of most interest to this forum would be Miami @ Patriots.

I'll be rooting for Miami because I don't concede division titles to NE in week two.

I hate to say it, but Garoppolo was a small school sleeper in the draft that a lot of people liked, myself included, and it looks like he's as good as some people envisioned. The Pats might have the two best QB's in the division :-(

We need to hope to God that Petty or Hack emerges as a franchise QB, because the Pats may have found theirs.

If Brady wasn't coming back from suspension in week five, Garoppolo would be 100% owned in fantasy football after the show he is putting on today. He would be the hottest waiver wire pickup in fantasy football, probably for the whole year.

Sucks that they have a 24-0 lead when he exits. If the game was closer Miami would have a great chance to win, but the choking dogs got blown out of the building in the first quarter.

Hopefully Houston and Buffalo can deal them two losses before Brady comes back.

Never ever going to happen as long as the Jets make their priority playing 35 year old journeymen. You just don't draft QBs and not play them. The first half of this year should have been Geno's final audition and if he failed the last 8 games should have been Petty's. The Pats are going to dominate the division as long as Belichek is the coach because he understands QBs don't come by accident--you develop them. But we are stuck with Fitz this year and apparently next year be damned. I don't ever want to hear anyone say the Patriots are lucky. They may be scumbags but they are smart. They don't leave developing a QB to chance. I never questioned that Fitz might be better for the Jets this year. I just questioned the shortsightedness that going with Fitzpatrick means. Winning 10 games this year and 6 next year is meaningless. I would rather win 6 this year and then 8 and then be a perennial winner.

Yep, this game is over because Miami didn't even bother to show up, but hopefully Houston and Buffalo will deal them a couple of losses before Brady comes back. Brissett has terrific size and some talent, but he is raw as can be. If he has to play the next two games, they are games Houston and Buffalo should win. Don't mean they will, but you have to believe they will be favored to win those games.

A big part of the reason the Pats have owned the division for so long is because we are the only team in the division that consistently plays them well. Not always, but most of the time we give them a game and occasionally we beat them. The other teams in the division mostly lay down like dogs verses the Pats, much like Miami today.

True. Chiefs are one of the toughest teams to play in their house. They don't lose very often at Arrowhead.

If they are admitting he's out for the game, it must be really bad, so bad he'll have to be put on the IR as soon as tomorrow so they can bring in another QB, otherwise you have a better chance at getting information from the CIA.

You are always reluctant to accept that a QB you drafted in the first round is a bust, because it really sets your organization back when you have to start that process all over again, drafting and grooming QB's, but at some point that reality sets in and you can no longer ignore it. Miami is reaching that point with Ryan Tannehill, who they foolishly drafted #8 overall.

HYATT™ sincerely hopes he looks the part so this hokum about Brady being the "best ever" can FINALLY be put into the grave where it belongs.
Shight, T.J. Rubley would have been a great QB in Hoodie's systems - plural, 'cuz the guy changes it from week to week, not just season to season.
Brady is and has always been just another product of Hoodie's genius - ANY half-arsed QB would have been just as good and many would have done significantly better there.
