Disagree. I got to give Williams credit on that play. he was watching the WR and when his hands went up so did his. got his arm between the WR's arms and broke it up, good play IMO
Couldn't disagree with you more. This is a secondary move, not a primary go to every play move (which is what our DB's do). This is precisely why receivers are constantly catching balls over, around and in front of our DB's and also why our DB's are called for pass interference at an alarming rate!
If you never find the ball then how do you intercept it? how do you turn and provide run support?(explains why our DB's are always late to non-existent there as well).
You bump and run then find the ball!
Playing the receiver and never turning your head then explain how exactly do you
1. Intercept the ball (explains why our guys only intercept what's thrown directly into their numbers)
2. Bat the ball away (never happens, we see our DB's with their hands in the the receivers face or armpits in their helmets while the receivers catch pass after pass around them, over them, side stepping them)
3. Run support (our guys seem to realize it in the secondary once the receiver starts blocking them, another "oh duh" moment)
Receiver is playing the ball while our DB's have no idea where the ball is going (they are just playing the man and hoping they can break it up).
Bad technique and a reason why our secondary has looked as bad as it has
