Different defense when we play without one of the top 3 DL. I said before the game that I was looking forward to seeing how the defense plays with Mo sidelined. Not because he is all of a sudden a bad player, but because the team is built to play a 3-4 and TB coaches best with that scheme. Once the secondary got its act together in the second half we were lights out. Curious as to why we didn't see either Roberts or Burris at CB, particularly with the play in the first half.
As far as the offense goes, the Ravens were missing their top 3 players in Suggs, Dumervill and Mosely. So I'm not that excited at yesterday's performance. I'm also extremely disappointed that Smith got injured before we got to see him play an entire game. I liked what I saw from him though, and also liked the game plan that Gailey had in place for the offense. Drove me nuts when I watched us revert to stupid passing on short yardage situations, Fitz walking into the oncoming rush and those damned sidearm throws. I hope Smith's injury is minor, but I'm fearing that its not and we have to endure the remainder of the season with Fitzpatrick.
One last note about Fitzpatrick. I read that he was all whiny after the game about no one from the owner down to the ball boy had any faith in him. Well duh, if you didn't hold us hostage for the entire offseason and then play like every other team's bitch for 5/6 of the season what do you expect you self absorbed prick. The jets won today in spite of you, not because of you.
