Come on ucrenegade, yet another QB debate thread. I know or hope you didn't intend for it to be this but you know it will turn out that way real soon. Moderator, please get ready to close this thread also. With all that said, everyone knows or ASSUMES I'm the biggest Geno supporter on this thread and I could less about that so you know I voted for Geno. Lol!

Granted he has a lot to learn, I was saying that even when I was advocating that we draft him, but we're talking about December here, that should be eight months of intense studying and training if he's doing all of the right things and we are too, that should be more than enough time to get in an NFL Game and not embarrass himself, provided we keep it relatively basic to start with and gradually give him more over the next off season. Heck if you give me eight months of intense study I think I can master the laws of physics, or at least learn enough to fake it

I would believe that ONLY when I saw it. Todd Bowles will be involved in offense and the accepted philosophy. When the Jets have very obvious strengths in the running game and very questionable QB's that dictates their philosophy and the key to winning games.
Even if Chan Gailey's offense is based on passing to set up the run, the Jets would NOT go that route.
They are going to lean on the running game. They are going to pass in a very safe manner... timing routes, a lot of play action, etc. NOTHING that is too highly involved for the QB. They simply do not trust the QB's they have. They also want to win.
Now, I would not be surprised if they attempted going long on occasions, but this offense will be a run first offense.
I understand and that is/was a great idea but you and I both know what this eventually is going to turn out to be.

No it won't gailey sets up the run with the pass don't matter who his qb is. He did it in buffalo and he did it with Pitt and kordell stewart. He also did it when he had freaking thigpen as his qb. The jets have better weapons than gailey has ever had.
The more Geno plays the sooner the Bryce Petty era begins.
Please show us somewhere where anyone from the Jets has said this. And I will give you leeway, anyone from a ball boy to Woody, anyone, even just one person.
