The Jets need help in a lot of places. There's really only two options in my book: take the best player on the board or trade down for picks. If we can accumulate a lot of high to mid round picks, that'd be perfect.
Just don't screw it up like Idzik did.
Really loving Mike Williams and Fournette. Maybe the Jets will luck up and draft them both, rounds one and two!!! Wishful thinking!!!

If you haven't watched the highlight tape in the opening of this thread, go watch it. Your eyes will pop outta their sockets. This kid is gonna be special. He would make us all forget about Brandon Marshall.
Williams, Decker, and Enunwa.
I'll take that.
If they do heads will roll next year
... and will be replaced by the next wave of equally ineffective heads as the Jets keep rolling along the highway of mediocrity
(Yeesh, it is hard not to react like this to everything that happens with this team)
Bama has some pretty talented CB's and Humphry a bigger CB should give Williams a good NFL type test with the whole world watching. If he passes this and runs a sub 4.5 forty at the Combine he could easily be in line for a top ten pick.If you haven't watched the highlight tape in the opening of this thread, go watch it. I'm in agreement that we need help in a lot of areas. I don't see our OL being a trouble area though. Am I missing something with Ryan Clady. Is he retiring or leaving via FA? Personally I'd rather see a veteran at the blind side, and see us concentrate on MLB and CB. I think that , based on team need, we can't go wrong with Rueben Foster to replace an aging Harris, and hope we can get immediate help at CB. I'm not adverse to the Jets looking at turning Revis into a free safety . He might not have the blazing speed he once had, but he is a smart heady player, and I really think , when healthy, he could be an excellent safety. I think our young defense would benefit fron Revis' veteran leadership, especially if Foster replaces Harris.
Not necessarily, I'm just trying to seek out an option that would allow us to sign a talent in Rueben Foster that would seem to help out our defense tremendously, IMHO. Blind side tackles are not so easy to find, and Clady could have some productive years left.
All expensive, under performing vets are gone. Clady is moving on. This off season will see big names leave.I'm in agreement that we need help in a lot of areas. Maccagnan may look to one of his old players he scouted for Houston, in David Quessenberry only 26, has three and a partial year was inactive on non-football IR but is in remission... If he is capable of going he will likely be a more affordable option with upside... Very durable player except for the cancer part... At the same time DQ could be that bridge guy for us to draft a left tackle to bring along...
I also think Reuben Foster will be on our radar just b/c they need to pair up Lee with a thumper and he could be the guy but I don't see Foster being taken that high so we would have to trade down if we can...
Turnonthejets.com has their top 30 players in the draft, right now, on it. Rueban Foster is sitting at #2. FWIW.
At # 6 I think we should go best player available and to be honest I think it will also be a postion of need if it's a Tackle or Cornerback...
currently no tackle on the board worthy of that pick...
there are plenty of corners but none that would justify our fan base taking since this position is deep this year in the first three rounds with plenty of first round grades due to injury with be had in the second round and so on...
WR could be an option... Corey Davis, WMU & Mike Williams, Clemson
MLB should be an option... Reuben Foster, Alabama & Jabrill Peppers?
ER could be an option... Derek Barnett, Tennessee & Carl Lawson, Auburn
SAF also could be an option... Malik Hooker, Ohio St. & Jamal Adams, LSU
- Trade down
- Pick the best OL available
- Hire a computer dweeb to hack into the Patriots front office
- Pick who the Patriots wanted one round ahead of them for the rest of the draft
