I think both sides of this debate are right, Cooper is the better route runner which does result in more separation, you watch his tape and you just see him running down field wide open a lot more often, and its not because teams weren't paying attention to him, he was Bama's most dangerous player and every defense he faced rolled their coverage to him, he's just a smooth SOB who glides in and out of his cuts.
On the other hand Kevin White's numbers are fairly equal, he put up some monster numbers too, albeit in not quite the same way. Physically he was just superior to the DB's who tried to cover him; bigger, stronger and faster, he's also a great leaper who goes up and gets it at its highest point, and he has the best hands I've seen on a college WR since Michael Irvin. Yeah, I'm that old, I remember watching Irvin at Miami (and being in awe), and White reminds me a little bit of Irvin, though I'm sure White ran a faster forty, but a similar player in my view.
Thats why I have a hard time separating the two. If I had to I would put White 1 and Cooper 2 for the same reasons as Super, he's just a superior physical specimen, but talent wise it couldn't be more equal and you might even give a slight nod to Cooper. Bottom line, too me this is similar to AJ Green and Julio Jones when they came out, you can't go wrong either way, both guys have ELITE #1 WR written all over them.
