Ohhhhhh, he had some issues with coaches, but I've heard his interviews on Sirius this month as well as his coaches and all issues were minor. This kid is a player and I believe learned from some immature mistakes. I would be veru, very excited if we landed this kid to work with Revis and cro....he can play. I have no doubts about that.

This kid has met alot of teams..he will be gone by 25.....his problems are further in the rear view mirror than some of other guys..he might actually go before Gregory

Agreed. I don't think it's a lock the Raiders go WR. Could easily see them take Williams, Fowler, or Gregory. I find it hard to believe anyone thinks they can predict the decisions the Raiders will make.

I don't know why it would be a shock if the Raiders took the best player in the draft, who also happens to be a local product, who falls in their lap because the teams drafting in front of them reach for QBs.

Very true about the defensive players..plus they pick so early 2nd round..they will have MANY good WR options at 34 ..A LOT so taking a defensive player seems smarter to me....

If you could guarantee me that Harold is there at #37 , I would be fine with one of the two WRs at #6 . Otherwise I'd rather grab Dorsett/Smith/Perryman at #37 to bolster the WR corps and stay with the edge guy at #6 . One other thought, and this after watching highlights of Bowles' defense, is grabbing Shaq Thompson at #37 or 3rd round as a S/OLB hybrid. The kid is a football player and playmaker who I think may be a great fit for this defense in one of the sub packages.

I agree with that strategy...especially cos the WR depth is a lot better in draft.....and once everyone sees..Fowler, Ray, Beasely, Dupree, Gregory, Armstead, and the ogwighuize " from UCLA gobbled up..no way Harold makes it to 35 Gm's will start getting a little nervous and think they are going to miss out.......even Thompson might be gone by there....

EDIT..I think one or 2 "big name WR" make it to 35...cos I also think there will be a little run on CB (Waynes, Peters, Jones from UCONN, Collins from LSU) and possibly OL also

Especially in todays NFL with the passing...choice between WR and CB alot of teams will opt for the defensive side..they are harder to get...

If Williams falls to 4, which I don't anticipate, thats why I'm pretty sure they'll take a WR, but if Williams falls into their laps, then yeah, I definitely see them taking Williams. I suppose its possible they could opt for Dante Fowler too if he's there, so I stand corrected, you and raiderholic are right, its far from a sure thing that Oakland takes a WR, it all depends on what happens ahead of them.

Read an article in the Nashville Tennesian that the worst kept local secret is that the Titans organization feels they have a "poor man's Tom Brady" in Mettenberger. All the local beat writers know they feel that way about Mettenberger. They feel any interviews with the Titans talking QB is 100 smokescreen.

I think that pick is on the move...or Williams goes there (doesn't seem likely). The draft is going to get real exciting after the #1 pick because anything can happen...

Jets host Pass Rushers - Gregory, Fowler, Ray, and Harold

Jets hosting Nebraska pass rusher Randy Gregory on pre-draft visit, per report

This week, the Jets are hosting Nebraska pass rusher Randy Gregory on a pre-draft visit, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

As with all pre-draft visits, this news comes with the disclaimer that just because the Jets are hosting Gregory, it doesn't mean they are going to select him with the sixth pick.

The Jets are also hosting a bunch of other players on pre-draft visits. This is a routine part of the evaluation/research process for all teams as they prepare for the NFL Draft.

The Jets could very well select a pass rusher at No. 6. They had also arranged pre-draft visits with the following pass rushers: Missouri's Shane Ray, Florida's Dante Fowler Jr., and Virginia's Eli Harold (a likely late first or early second round pick).

Gregory admitted to testing positive for marijuana at the NFL Scouting Combine in February, though that probably won't hurt his draft stock all that much.

One knock on Gregory is his lean frame, which makes you wonder whether he will be able to bulk up in the NFL. ESPN's Todd McShay noted as much last month, when he projected the Jets to pick Gregory at No. 6.

Here's the latest list of prospects who have taken (or will take) pre-draft visits to the Jets.

Could the Jets add more WRs in the draft? University of Arizona WR Austin Hill is visiting today, I'm told. #nyj

This kid is a sad story. He was one of the national top WRs in 2012 and finished second for the Belitnikoff Award for the country's top WR with 80+ receptions, 1300 yards, and double digit TDs. He's 6'3 220 and lines up all over the field including being an excellent slot WR...unfortunately he tore his knee out and missed all 2013.

last year he showed strong hands and continued to use his body well to shield defenders, but he lost a ton of speed as evidence by his 4.59 40, 49 rec for 5 TDs his final year in college. Most think he will go Undrafted. Wasn't too long ago he and Strong had 2 of the top WRs in the country both playing in Arizona, one for U of A and one for AZ St.

Cincinnati LB Jeff Luc is visiting the #Jets on April 16.

This kid is an athletic freak..a little undersized..but very active...he started out at Florida State (not sure why didnt stay) but he is so athletic some teams are thinking about fullback or TE with him..but he is likle a cannon blitzing.. he also seems like a turnover machine

Dreamer - awesome call out by you.

I just wanted to clarify one point you made, he is only "under sized" in terms of height. But he is one big muscle bound horse at 6'0 265. I think he can be an outstanding 2 down MLB that plays on all your special teams. I wouldn't be surprised if they drafted him to play MLB...call me crazy. I like that we are looking at him. He's a beast and just a football player that looks like a sideline to sideline tree trunk. His biggest issue is he can't cover...like a young Brandon Spikes.
