Look I give him credit when he gets it. He has done well against the bottom of the league. He needs these games as I have said some others don't but he does. He needs to have someone carry him at this point. I am all for him as a fan I want to see him do well. Nothing would be better then seeing him & Kyler holding up the trophy over the next few years.....but we need to get the milk off his chin first
Totally agree - he's in his second year, second system, new coach, bad o-line, etc. We know the issues. And yes, he needs to mature as a player (not a person because he's got a great head on his shoulders and is all about football and leading the team). From where I sit, there's no doubt that will happen. Philip Rivers threw 4 INTs last week - no one is blasting him as this horrible QB. It happens, it's professional football. He's going to figure it out. I saw growth in just the last two games. Yes, they weren't particularly good teams, but his decision-making was overall excellent. One bad throw. And he made some exceptional throws - throws many QBs in the league wont' attempt or can't make. Everyone needs to give the kid some time. The best thing I see from him is resilience, and that's huge. This kid is not going to go into a shell with a bad game. He's going to come out and work to get that much better. Talent wise, he's among the most talented QBs in the league. He just needs more experience and more help around him. Put this kid in an offense with the Dallas personnel for example - how do you think he'd do? I think he'd be amongst the league leaders in every category, just like Dak.
Point is - look at the bigger picture and not one comment made on the sidelines in the heat of battle, during a bad game.
