Jameson Williams hurt in championship game, Possible knee injury
and he is a one trick pony that his stock just took a nose dive...
still like Jahan Dotson better than him, decisive route runner that has change of direction ability with great hands maybe just me...

Kentucky has a nice receiver also similar to Dotson and Moore . I just wanna give this kid a bigger target at receiver than Davis who’s inconsistent
The way this is going I might consider throwing a later round pick at Metchie and stashing him for a year

He'll 100% enter the draft and chances are as the 1st WR drafted.

Kid just put up the 3rd greatest single season performance from an Alabama WR within Alabama school history.

So you calling him a "one trick pony" is like me calling Hutchinson a one year wonder (who did absolutely nothingness during his playoff game).

Alabama star wide receiver Jameson Williams, a Biletnikoff Award finalist for the No. 3 Crimson Tide, suffered what appeared to be a knee injury on Monday night. The injury occurred early in the second quarter of the College Football Playoff National Championship against No. 3 Georgia. Williams was promptly taken into the injury tent before heading back to the locker room where he was ruled out the remainder of the title game after evaluation. During the third quarter, in a somewhat promising sign, Williams walked back to the sideline under his own power to support his Tide teammates.

Williams, who transferred to Alabama after two seasons at Ohio State, broke free over the middle of the field on a 40-yard reception. He attempted to cut as a Georgia defender closed in before reaching down for his right knee as he fell to the turf of Lucas Oil Stadium.

A projected first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Williams may face a difficult decision this offseason if his injury is deemed significant. CBS Sports draft expert Ryan Wilson has Williams projected to go No. 18 overall to the New Orleans Saints in his latest mock draft, but it stands to reason that his stock would fall sharply if his diagnosis was such that he would not be cleared to play next season.

I highly doubt it's an ACL or anything serious.

Chances are Bama coaches kept him out of the game until being able to get tested moving forward.

If anything his draft stock rose tonight. He was by far the best WR of either team when on the field + Bamas Offense looked AWFUL without him.

Despite only playing less than 1 half Williams was still the best WR out there.

George Pickens looked like crap.
If it wasn't serious, he would have been back in the game. Alabama coaches would have cared more about a title then his future career.
Likely an ACL and possibly the MCL as well.
Chances are he misses all of next season if he enters the draft.

If it was serious. He wouldn't have wanted to come back into the game and play.

I just watched Saban's interview. It wasn't even up to the Alabama coaching staff. The team doctors are the one who said no. Because they want to test him further with an MRI.

If it were a serious knee injury? I'm no doctor. But he would've been in too much pain to want to play the 2nd half.
He didn't play the second half though did he?
Looking at the way his knee bent and it being a noncontact injury, it sure looked like his ACL and his Patelella (knee cap) appeared to be dislocated which could be the MCL, Maniscus or patellar tendon . As far as the pain, numbness and swelling are common following a tear.
Edit:
For the record, I hope the MRI reveals nothing but a sprain and that he's fully recovered by the combine. Never want to see a player get injured...

A question for the OL experts (Sack, GMF, etc.), what’s more important for the Jets right now a stud RT at 4 or a stud RG at 10 or later? If it’s me I’d like to trade 4 for 12-20 pick plus and go with RG mid #1 and RT in 2nd or vice versa.

the logical option is let the board play out and at the fourth pick if a team wants to trade up for one of the top two quarterbacks or the top offensive lineman then maybe JD can fleece them for more now and future draft capitol but none of those sites will post those type of trades because right now it is not in the cards before free agency occurs...

Agreed with most, but i think you put a little too much emphasis on the "unicorn" linebacker gimmick thingy. Yes, if there was a Safety who was sort of as big as a LB, but sort of fast as a Nickle, yeah you have a special player for Saleh's D or anyone else's. I think that Quincy has put those needles in the haystack on the backburner.

that being said, Hamilton is a player worth that draft selection, even for us...just not this year; same for Stingley.

But i am in full agreement with the above quote. Draft for the table today and the center pieces in future drafts.
At the same time, this is the first FA period and trading period trader Joe has the flexibility to land some major signings; not just "MoneyBall" players.

it is going to be a heckuva offseason.

Jahan to me is a must...classic route runner, effortless adjustment to the ball, simply beautiful to watch. But if there were a way to snag Pickens or Metchie, i am digging the youth movement at WR.

as of right now if 2 EDGE guys & Evan Neal are the consensus first 3 picks
expect JD to give the Jets one of two options

taking Kyle Hamilton at 4 who fits Robert Saleh's defensive prowess
or
finding a trade partner to fleece

as for the Seattle pick it will be an OL
depending on how the board falls it could be one of three prospects
1) Ikem Ekwonu
2) Charles Cross
3) Trevor Penning

2 of the three would step in as right tackles immediately
1 will convert to guard
