Agreed with most, but i think you put a little too much emphasis on the "unicorn" linebacker gimmick thingy. Yes, if there was a Safety who was sort of as big as a LB, but sort of fast as a Nickle, yeah you have a special player for Saleh's D or anyone else's. I think that Quincy has put those needles in the haystack on the backburner.
that being said, Hamilton is a player worth that draft selection, even for us...just not this year; same for Stingley.
But i am in full agreement with the above quote. Draft for the table today and the center pieces in future drafts.
At the same time, this is the first FA period and trading period trader Joe has the flexibility to land some major signings; not just "MoneyBall" players.
