The same could have been said for Vinny before we traded for him. Sometimes it takes a change of scenery and environment to bring out the best in someone.
Carr’s stats say he’s not the problem. Personally I haven’t watched enough of him to provide any feedback beyond that, but a 91+ passer rating is pretty damn good.
He has played for some garbage teams with 6 different head coaches. Carr is better than anything the Jets have had since Pennington.

Not really. Vinny was Signed to back up Foley after Vinny was released from the Ravens. Foley got hurt or was ineffective (don't remember)and the rest is

Stats? On a QB with a losing records like Carr's stats tell me one thing: GARBAGE TIME. Compiling stats against 2nd and 3rd stringers is Carr's speciality. Don't be fooled by ratings and bullshit. Watch the easy throws He inexplicably misses. It's all there. Carr is inconsistent and will not be able to maintain a quality performance for a full season because HE NEVER HAS.
I'm talking ELITE level QB play. Top 5 QB play. MVP level QB play. That's what you're going to need with Cincy, Buffalo, KC and that's just the AFC. You think Carr has or can approach that level? Please.

Compared to Zilch Wilson, White, and any other JAG/JAG minus on the team, Carr is Joe Montana.

Carr sucks. If the term garbage time stat was defined by Webster Carr would be the example. He's not even a Tannehill.
By all means wine and dine this prick but don't do the Jetsy thing and sign Him Monday without visiting with, and exploring other options.
If we sign Tannehill? I immediately begin boiling water (just under the boil for you tea aficionados) for a heaping mug of hemlock tea.

Chad was great until the injuries piled up. You knew it was over when he could no longer throw the sideline route. Those things were getting picked off at will. Kinda sad. I liked Chad and wish he had a better Jet career.

Chad was the truth! He didn’t have the natural talent that other QBs had but he was smart as hell, could read defenses like the great ones, accurate, great at timing plays and had heart! He definitely had the IT factor! Injuries killed his career or he could have our next HOF QB or possibly could have been.

Yeah, but isn't Tannehill better than 'Zilch Wilson' etc. as well? He is durable and serviceable, despite having played for the Dolphins (cough, spit). He falls into the same category as bidding for Geno or Minshew. And he could make way for Zilch if the new OC is able to turn the kid round.
Yeah Tannehill is better than The Paperboy. The thing is Tannehill couldn't take the Titans to the next level with some very good weapons. He's going to come here and do what he couldn't do in his prime? I don't feel He can.
At this point I don't want any of these guys. I would rather try and move up in the draft and get CJ Stroud or one of the other guys. Give the Bears a call JD. Offer them a certain WR along with picks. Hell tell them we will take Jenkins back. Every passing day this goes on I'm souring on the whole "veteran QB" plan. Seems like a band-aid on an arterial bleed. I think it's time to admit the Zach Experience is over and start over.
Veteran QB plan can work. But you need to sign the right guy. Think of Brees in NOLA after San Diego. Do I believe Tannehill is that guy? Not a chance in hell.
