Can't really argue with the Chargers pick of Gordon, he's an NFL RB who has a high floor, plus he fits a need, but I would have liked to see them go OL here with Miami OT Erick Flowers, which would allow them to move DJ Fluker inside to guard. Oregon DL Aryk Armstead would have been a better fit for the Chargers too. Gordon is a safe if uninspiring pick
Here's where my ignorance really screws things up for me.
I feel like KC should go OL, and from what I read Ereck Flowers is the better athlete/player, but Cameron Erving is more versatile (which KC could use, and Reid would likely maximize).
In the end I bank my hopes on Sarge commentary (even though he wasn't talking to me) and have the KC Chiefs use the #19 pick of the 2015 NFL draft on

I'm not just trying to be nice when I say, I loved all three of the last three picks; Gordon, Flowers and Perriman.
The picks in this mock have been exceptional in my view.

As a Wisconsin native, I suspect Gordon is NOT a "workhorse" NFL RB.
At 6'-1" / 215#, he's just a bit on the light side for that much work, has a tendency to run upright, and absorb blows to the lower body, (death to a RB's knees), and he's not particularly fast either, (4.52s in the 40 at his WI Pro Day, though reportedly he ran in the 4.4 range last spring).
WI doesn't have a potent passing attack and Gordon is woefully lacking in receiving skills at this point.
He also takes a long time to make cut decisions, which - behind that Badgers OL - he could afford.
In SD, with their crappy OL, he'll not get that luxury.
HYATT™ can't comment on his blocking skills, since few people ever saw him do any blocking in Madison.
The best use of Gordon is as a tandem back, designated as the shifty outside runner, since he's never exhibited any ability to move piles at WI.
HYATT™ will give Gurley that much, he seems to be able to run through traffic and shred trash tackling & outrun even DBs.
Gordon's success was not purely predicated on WI's monster OL, but he sure had a LOT of semi trailer sized holes to run through most of the time.
People expecting the next LaDanian Tomlinson or Purple Jesus are going to be disappointed.

I think you made the right choice. SD has nothing at RB and Gordon is an elite feature back.
We never have to stop making picks, but if the thing naturally comes to a stop at night, then we just pick it up tomorrow.
