Doesn't sound like a "value pick", but I'll be rooting hard for the kid after the life he's had to live through so far . . .

Good pick. He has good size and a nice burst to the QB, just he needs to refine some pass rush skills. 21.5 sacks, played standing up and as a down lineman. We needed a young player at OLB and I think he'll do well.
Have to admit, I was hoping more for Harold. But hearing about Mauldin's past, and hearing how he is crying, tearing up, during his conference call, you cannot NOT root for this kid.
Wasn't my first choice of who I wanted. But I sure am glad this young man is a Jet.

Like most, I'll be rooting for him. But I'm underwhelmed overall with this draft. Sorry, it's just my opinion. I think the risk/reward of going Petty merited that direction.
Also, the trade down killed us. It doesn't always work out for the best when trading down.
