I have several reasons why i think we lost.
1. no eric decker kerley and shaq evans are awful. The eagles knew we didn't have a passing attack so they concentrated on stopping the run wihich brings me to reason number 2.
2. no ivory say what you want but powell and stacy are not bell cow backs they both disappointed me big time today.
3. our team speed is horrendous we really are one of the slowest teams out there on offense and esp defense.
4. poor ass tackling i don't know how many times we had them in the backfield for a huge loss only for them to escape with a 7-8 yard run.
5. Final reason is our run blocking is atrocious. Pass rushing is really good only gave up 2 sacks so far but the run defense is awful.

Why Davis? Because of the TD to Mathews? The PF? I was in the car for both, but Lyons thought the PF was bs and not many Lb's can cover a fast rb out of the backfield. Anyways, I like DD, Coples, not so much.

OL showing their age. They are standing back to protect but bad when they need too push. Keeping 11 OL other than Winters doesn't seem so bad. Also Stacy is useless.Jets need one speed back in next years draft.
Good response after being down 24 points. Glad that we can now make halftime adjustments. Fitz is what we all know he is, and a guy who can put up points in bunches is not him. I'm not blaming him for this loss at all, he's just an average QB with a mediocre arm at best. This game was lost not because of him but a crappy opening to the game that might have been a hangover from Monday night.
Positives:
- Defense stepped up in the second half, half time adjustments were good once again.
- Maybe our Coach sees that Kerley needs to be on the field.
Negatives:
- Team looked unprepared/unmotivated.
- No run game, again (Ivory loss really hurt).
- Fitz consistently underthrows longer balls, led to 2 or 3 missed scores and an interception. No really deep throws to speak of, didn't stretch the field.
- Special teams, uggh, other than Kerley. D line little pressure most of the day.
- Another (third) bad challenge by Bowles; fire the guy upstairs.
We need to get Decker and Ivory back before next week.

Fitz was horrid. He threw only a handful of accurate passes, and his deep balls were completely and totally pathetic. Smith had a step a couple times and the ball was underthrown at least 10 yards. But you are correct, he did not lose the game, he is just incapable of coming back in a game like this which is just as bad. We cannot win with Fitz at QB, he is just too unable to make plays and he does not really protect the ball either.

for having 1 wr he did pretty good actually. Yes he had a few over and underthrows most qb's do in a game but in no way was any of this game on him. He had 1 wr devin is a rookie so he gets slack but kerley,evans,and our te cumberland all worthless crap.
agreed. tough loss, especially when coples sealed the deal at the end with that penalty. i think they will take another look at kerley, but let's not forget we were without receivers two and three today.
hopefully we can pick it back up next week against miami. i'd be ok with a loss here when we are banged up if we can take a game off a division rival the following week.

But you're expecting an all world QB. We already know Fitz has limitations. We already know he isn't taking this team to a SB. NO way.
If you know what Fitz is, then you know it wasn't his fault today. Fitz protected the ball for the most part today. He was taking what the defense was giving him. He threw to Marshall when he was double covered, NO different from the 1st two games and it worked like a charm up until today.
The rest of the team, and in particular Brandon Marshall, let him down today.

I think our depth at wideout is good. I'm more worried about our backs . Other than Ivory, we don't have no game changers.
Very disappointing. The Jets got ambushed by a desperate team today, but they shouldn't have, they should have been expecting that and prepared for it. They may have lost regardless, but it shouldn't have looked like an ambush where they go down 24-0 in the first half at home. That too me is bitterly disappointing.

EXACTLY. The team had 4 turnovers so they didn't protect the football. They did well along the lines of penalties, but they had some pretty dumb and killer penalties Like Demario Davis and the unsportsmen like conduct penalty. He was just frustrated from blowing that assignment the play prior.
Altogether, I want to say the defense did its job though. Ultimately, they only gave up 17 points today and that's a decent defensive game. But they let the offense down and that's why it could never be called a good outing. Everyone knows that this team needs to have the defense control the game and give the offense easy opportunities. That didn't happen today. The ST let the team down also.
... agree...Right side of line was bad today.
We lost this game because of turnovers and frankly they outplayed us in the 1st half...it wasn't even close. Fitz had a bad game his accuracy was off...high balls, inside thews when they should have been to the outside, etc. Essentially he tried to do to much but had little help form OL and WR.
