On GMFB, Chad Pennington came out and gave Bowles a very solid endorsement. Essentially, he said that Bowles is the right man to turn this around. Chad said he was with Bowles twice in his career and thinks he is an excellent coach. He doesn't think he should lose his job after this season because they don't have the players to contend. I think everyone on this Board respects Chad and his opinions, I know I do.
Again, I'm not saying Bowles is going to turn out to be a great coach or even a good one, I just believe he deserves a fair shot to put his program in place, which means two more seasons. I stand by that. Unless you can get Harbaugh (which won't happen), going to get another coordinator and rebuild the entire coaching staff, put new schemes in place, etc. makes little sense, especially with such a young team. I understand everyone's frustrations with Bowles, but he should get more time to build his program. I think Chad is right..
