look, if bowles is suddenly/inexplicably has become a smith fanboy, more power to him & the best of luck with that..
i doubt he'll have trouble finding a seat on that bandwagon..
In TB I Trust

I agree but not just Petty trade, fa or draft more young Qb's.
But let me add this for fitz. He had no TE or real third WR last year so in that way he did a good job.......but I still agree backup or gone with him
Here's my issue and just being greedy here but how many QBs do they draft or trade for or pick up in FA before they get the right one? It has to stop someplace right? I mean if Wentz just so happens to fall in our lap at #20, then of course you take him. Or if Cardale Jones is there in the 2nd or 3rd round then go for it but that's about it I think. I'm not a college guy so I could be missing the boat on other QBs but the Jets have other needs to fill in the draft. As far as FAs, not big on RGIII or any other available QB, including Fitz. As far a trade, not big on Kaep either. Let's give Petty a shot if he's ready to give them average play atleast and see what he can do this year and next. This way we know if he has it or not and can move on from there with or without him.
i understand your point but there is absolutely nothing "glorified" about johnson owning the jets regardless of what you think of his football IQ..Woody is a glorified fan, what he says shouldn't be taken as the owner but as a fan...
they really liked Dak Prescott but that DUI puts him now as a questionable prospect...
So G if he goes out with Richardson who drives>

Geno :global (31):
What happens if they serve punch. Geno on the Jets this year not on my watch LOL
are you questioning people's ability to read english??
in your post you talk about poster not backing down from their stance.. what's to back down from?? the truth?? regardless of how much truth/facts gets thrown your way your response is always something like "i love how fans _______________.. i'll tell what you dont seem to "love" is losing a one sided debate.. nobody gets it but good ole brick, huh??
& talking about folks inevitably getting banned?? are you a mod/admin now?? if so, congratulations & forgive me, i missed the announcement thread..
back on topic: what i would "love" is for you help me understand what I didn't get from johnson's quotes i listed in this post..
not that i'm going to hold my breath waiting for fear of passing out..
here is the funny part that is (apparently) lost on you brick.. the only eyes (in my view) you're pulling wool over are your own.. or a very select few..Wow. Nice rant. Ever entertained an anger management course? I'll do you one better. Let's look at what our HC just said the other day.
Todd Bowles:
"We thought Geno matured last year...its something you couldn't see because he didn't play much, but you saw it in practice and you saw it on the field in his demeanor. Geno's still our QB, he's still on our team. He's still one of our guys...that's all I can say. He's matured a lot, we'll see if he comes to camp and puts it all together, and go from there".
You're right 13. I'm completely outta line here. Bowles is totally pulling the wool over our eyes. LMFAO.

no problem maine..Thank you Jetgreen......... I could not have said that better myself.
And personal attacks????? WHERE is the personal attack? He went down the road of mentioning things like delusional in an accusatory way toward me. So I gave him back the TRUTH coupled with using the words he very clearly used against me.
But once again, you and I don't understand....... Brick is always right...
Look I for one want Geno gone! But I trust TB to do the right thing. If he feels Geno is the man I will go with that...Do I have a choice ?LOL. If Woody is pulling the strings on everything I would be very upset. I don't think he is but I can't tell for sure.
Would one more year of Geno be that bad at this time???........Did I just say that lol
no problem maine..
i didn't want to sit by & watch you get baited.....
here is the funny part that is (apparently) lost on you brick.. the only eyes (in my view) you're pulling wool over are your own.. or a very select few..Code:
i asked you very specifically to address woody johnson's point of view on geno smith.. you completely ignored that request & went on a tangent.. yet again.....
not that bowles' or mac's "coach speak" on smith (or milliner for that matter) has ever put the slightest of dents in your don quixote endless rhetoric..
you sir are shamelessly spin doctoring.. i just happen to be calling you on it.. that doesn't make me angry brick, just someone paying attention..
ironically, we agree on most other topics on the jets.. go figure.....
yeah, well i call bull spit!! you know good & damn well you were trying to bait maine in this thread & others.. LOLz sort of like you're trying to bait me not ask you about your interpretation of woody johnson's comments in this thread..It's the irony of all ironies for you to suggest that the biggest troll on this board, who constantly instigates and baits people with vulgar language and nasty rebuttals, is being baited himself.
I don't need to be a moderator to know that posters who do these things are in jeopardy of being banned. If you can't see the difference between how I post, and how Mainejet posts...that's on you.
You two have each other's backs, though. Birds of a feather flock together.
WHERE is the TRUTH
Birds of a feather flock together.
passive aggressive
.....actually i wanted you respond to johnson's most recent quotes on smith posted in this thread..You want me to comment on Woody's comments regarding Geno?
Ok. No problem. You mean these?
"Geno had a pretty good year, we'll see in the summer how he's developed. But I think the coaches are pretty optimistic about what he's learned, and his maturity. We know he can throw a ball. He's taken it to a new level. We'll see how it plays out".
(Regarding Geno being a franchise QB)
"That's up to the eye of the beholder, but he has all the skills. It's a question of what his desire is, and from what the coaches have told me and what I've seen myself, I think he's matured a lot. He knows he's a professional. He has the ability to do it if he sticks with it".
Yes, Woody despises Geno Smith. I mean, just read between the lines.
