Mac and Bowles saying what they have said is merely coach speak. Both of them know of the impending doom associated with having Geno start. Colon just thinks he's been humbled. He doesn't know anything more than that. He wants to believe in Geno , ONLY if he's the only option for the NYJ. Nothing more.
As for any fans that are giving Geno love? Well, they must be on crack to believe in that bum.
This guy got LUCKY to be the starter in 2013 becayse Sanchez went down in a preseason game. Now, I'm sure all of you have heard the phrase that you must make the most of any chance given to you, right? It's true and it's said over and over again in football because you never just how many of chances you might get.
Well, Geno has gotten NUMEROUS chances. He started for two straight years and not a player or fan, unless they are delusional, thought he was anything better than pure, 100% garbage.
Hell, he even got a chance to play smack dab in the middle of Fitz renaissance year.
EVERY time he spit the bit. Every time he sucked. He showed his true colors every single time and every single time it was nothing better than unacceptable.
This, while in the middle of all these chances awarded to him, he made a damn fool out of himself and the NYJ organization as a whole. He showed his true intellect was that of a turnip.
So I don't care if he became Mother Theresa combined with Peyton Manning, he got his chance with the NYJ. And I absolutely do NOT believe the previous sentence, but just saying.
If it weren't for the money pertaining to Geno's measly salary coupled with this contract dispute the Jets find themselves in with Fitz, he would have been cut long ago. His time is up. The Jets need to move on once and for all. Not only for the health of their locker room and every single front office person, but most of all because the fans deserve more.
