It's the pressure that he doesn't deal with. First, playing in NY as a #1 pick was pressure from day 1; no pressure in Minnesota during regular season as a backup and not much pressure, he could play free. I like the kid, but not a franchise QB particularly in NY.

Never said he was a franchise QB. I said I was rooting for the kid. The Jets and all their shitty fans almost ruined him. I was happy for him that he led the Vikings to a 14-3 record. If it's all his fault they lost then it was all because of him that they won 14 games.

Darnold had a pretty good season but toward the end of the season when the pressure started to build he reverted to the Sam Darnold we knew. I'd have reservations about signing him if I were doing the hiring.

Definitely just start Tyrod. He won't make it the whole season. The Jets will be mediocre, but will hopefully get a chance to see Travis or another rookie. Or maybe 1 in a billion chance Tyrod stays healthy and wins 10 games. I definitely think his teammates like him and will play hard for him. He seems like a good leader.

Unfortunately this is a weak draft class for QB. Jets should look to add WR and Online early then focus on the defense. Build the trenches and give next year's QB or Travis a chance to thrive,not hope to survive.
I'm sure most will strongly disagree but Kirk Cousins on a one year deal makes a lot of sense.
He will be getting a 1 year $ 2mill prove to deal.
His ankle should be fully healed 2 seasons later. And his shoulder and elbow should be healed as well. Worst case scenario, we have early picks next draft and have a shot at a legit QB
