You're sayin that the Vikings defense had nothing to do with giving up 29 points average for those two games is Darnold fault? All the sacks were his fault? Missed FG's were his fault? That is ridiculous. He missed throws vs Detroit. The OL sucked. He was under pressure all night vs Rams.
It's the pressure that he doesn't deal with. First, playing in NY as a #1 pick was pressure from day 1; no pressure in Minnesota during regular season as a backup and not much pressure, he could play free. I like the kid, but not a franchise QB particularly in NY.

I like Sam but the truth is he never did handle pressure well. That's probably not entirely his fault because operating behind an "O" line like he had with the Jets would make anyone gun shy. He also takes sacks that he shouldn't when he could just QUICKLY throw the ball away. It doesn't need to be an accurate throw, just, a quick throw. He's still young and maybe some coach with a big club will come along and say if you get caught with that ball in your hands I'm going to knock your block off. Just kidding, of course, but he needs SERIOUS COACHING in that department.
