While we may not hear about it right away I believe the Jets front office will know who our QB will be this week, next week at the latest. Let's hope that for once they will be willing to share that info with the fans.

I’m hoping that Rodgers just announces that he’s retiring sooner rather than later. I don’t want to have to deal with this back and forth wondering BS for much longer. If he’s in it and wants to play with 100%, then let’s get him but if he’s not then don’t bother. A truly motivated A. Rodgers is a great assets to have. Problem is, you can never be sure if he’s even 50% invested anymore.

The main reason I would want Jimmy G is because he won't cost any draft capital. Carr might not either. Rodgers isn't worth more than Favre got. Lamar is definitely not worth the draft picks or contract.

Carr is a good QB on a shit team. He isnt top 5, but top 10-12 and more than capable of winning. Salary would be reasonable and draft compensation low.
Rodgers is a great QB at the end of his career. Hes a complete flake and could easily demand mor money from the Jets post trade, or next season. Its his standard seasonal treat.
So best case scenario with Rodgers is 2 years of play. A lost first and second round pick and $60 million in dead money. May get up close or to a Super Bowl, But this roster has holes. Holes that wont be filled without the $ and Draft picks. It been oner a decade since Green Bay went all the way. With more talent than this roster. Id rather continue with the current build and be in contention for years the go all in for a 1 year hope.
Health would make him not worth the risk not talent.
