Don't know if there is any validity to this, as Schefter has proven the past few weeks that he is completely full of shit!

Good to hear from you "G". Like I mentioned somewhere on here recently...........time is no longer on Green Bays side. It will cost them financially if they drag this out too long. It also makes them look bad.Packers want this year's 13th overall pick. JD stated this year's 2nd next year's 3rd as conditional that can be a 1st on record. Which I'm ok with, but we need that 13th this year. Now that we have 2 2nds we have wiggle room but GB needs to take what they get and move on from Aaron otherwise we can wait until Sept. and let them take the cap hit for Mr. Rodgers then have fun trying to move him for anything more than a 4th round.
This is absolutely correct. WE have 2 options. 1 is make the trade on our terms and 2 is run it back with Zach. Option 2 is a total tank (and what else is new….) and everyone gets fired . But at lease its 2 options. GB has zero options. Play or retire, Rodgers gets a crippling amount of money from them. Enough that they are in the crapper for multiple years. GB is just trying to get out of this gracefully and make it seem they are doing whatever it takes to maximize their return on Rodgers. So relax…. It will happen right before the draft. It has to if GB wants anything this year. After June 1….. were on to next years picks. I have a distinct feeling Wingo was right…. this is already a done deal and its just playing out for GB benefitGood to hear from you "G". OBJ, is that getting done?Also….. we are currently addressing Rodgers “wish list” with Lazard and OBJ. No one (not even the Jets brass) is stupid enough to sign or entertain signing these guys unless it’s a done deal. That’s like buying a new set of tires and rims for a car you might buy …….
great post but?I see that a lot of Jets fans are still concerned with the Aaron Rogers situation, even some here on our forum. Personally, I am NOT at all concerned. This is my take on the situation and the why of me not being concerned. Green Bay is utterly screwed here. There is some disagreement on who has the power here. This is how I see that. First in the power line is Rogers himself. Aaron could, if he was of a mind to, walk into the front office and say quit screwing the Jets around and get this deal done or I’ll retire. Frankly, I think the only reason he hasn’t is because he’s trying to be nice to an organization where he has played for 18 years. But if he did retire, they would immediately be facing about a $78 Million cap hit which even spread out over 2 years cripples their rebuild. They don’t want this. They can't afford this. If they keep him on the roster they risk losing out with Love who is in his final year of his rookie contract and they need him to play in order to find out if he’s the replacement. So do they pay Rogers a fortune to be his back up. I don’t think so. They could cut him if they are brain dead because it would cost them $43 million cap for this year alone and utterly destroy them financially. Their ONLY REAL OPTION is to trade him. The Jets are the only team interested which puts them #2 in the power line. If I see this, JD, who is a lot savvier about football contracts than I am, also sees it, so I am convinced that he will in no way part with that #1 pick. I would prefer, like the Jets and most of you that the deal get done sooner rather than later, but the deal will get done, IMO.
Right now........imo..............we bring in #42.......................but by start of season I hope they have added another capable vet. There are still a couple out there looking for a team that are better than you know who. What happens if Rogers has an accident?
