My problem with Woody has never been about money and spending, it’s with the obvious meddling and inserting himself into deals. He is the James Dolan of the football world! He knows nothing about football , yet him forcing himself into deals he wants has been evident his entire tenure as owner.

He never learns and loves to pass the Buck on his own failed moves. Injects himself —> move fails —> start firing people —> rinse repeat!!,.

I'm not suggesting that you are wrong but how do you know how frequently and to what extent is Woody"s involvement in the football decisions?

JD or Woody didn't break bread with Carr? Woody didn't want Carr and all reports are the staff, ( JD, Saleh, Hackett) all loved Carr but woody prevented JD from offering him a deal as he wanted Rodgers.

Honestly if this were the case, I can't help but think that Rodgers would be a done deal already and that the Packers would've fleeced us.

Gutekunst has just announced that a 1st round pick is not required. Which means that he backed off of wanting a Matthew Stafford type deal. I don't think they fleeced us.

I mean you can find shade to throw on almost every coach/GM who has worked for the organization, but that wasn't the point of the post or the reference that was made. It was directly in regards to meddling, public grandstanding, and directly inserting themselves into football operations (rather than allowing the people that have been hired to do the job they are being paid to do)

Yes. I think if done before, they want more compensation for the immediate cap hit.
Though they are cap compliant, even with Rodgers salary and option bonus.
