I heard the trade is done. The trade will be announced on or just before the Draft. We are sending WR Corey Davis, a 2nd this year and next year and receiving a 2025 3rd Rd pick.
I haven't seen anything official on the deal but I believe, especially after hearing JD saying he will be here, that the trade in principal is done which leads me to believe that there is a certain time that they want the deal to become official. Maybe they want to have it happen during the draft just for the effect, but then again, maybe they want it to be after June first for financial reasons. Who knows for sure at this point but I am confident enough in JD to believe he's going to be here that I am not giving it much thought anymore. Instead I'm looking at draft prospects trying to get a handle on who's good and who isn't because I didn't have time to watch college ball this year. In a nut shell.....JD said he's going to be here. That's good enough for me and I'm not going to bad mouth Rogers for something that he no longer has anything to do with.

I just think the Kid lacks discipline. He can't stay with and trust the system. Thinks his way is better etc. You can't change that or it's very hard too after a certain point. Based on the Jets moves it looks to me like Zach may not be on this team after His contract is up.
Or maybe the system sucked. I'm definitely not a Zach truther, but many players were not happy with the LaFLeur system. He gets to learn from his idol and hopefully things click and he becomes something. Zach getting better is just gravy. Rodgers hopefully is all in for two years and can help this team get to playoffs. And then hopefully Rodgers is better than he usually is in those playoffs. It will be an interesting year to say the least.
Just read some article which indicated that Matt Ryan is a viable option for the Jets at QB if the Rodgers deal falls through. That happens? I will walk into a hay baler holding a kilo of C4.

Yeah you could say that, and I somewhat agree but the System worked when executed properly or at least competently. Otherwise, Mike White would have sucked as well, and they wouldn't have been competitive at all. Play calling and execution were a lot of the problem last year. Lafleur did not have play calling experience and never seemed to develop a feel for it. Even as the game when on you could see Lafleur struggle to have any flow when calling plays. Just didn't work.
If that happens, I will seriously think about giving up Football. I mean it. They try to sell that shit after all this nonsense? That may finally punch my ticket out of Jetville. If Matt Ryan is anywhere near this team, except as a low paid backup I'm not gonna waste any of the time I have left watching that shitshow. Life's too short.
The Rogers deal is not falling through. He is going to be a Jet. Rogers didn't say he intends to play for the 49ers. He didn't say he intended to play for Tennessee. He did say he intends to play for the Jets. As I stated earlier Rogers has all the power not the packers. They can't trade him to a team he doesn't want to go to. They can't period. So they trade him to the Jets which is the only way they get anything for him. He could, if he was of a mind too, just say he's staying as a $60 mil back up. They sure as hell wouldn't want that. He could just retire and they get zilch for him. Neither of these scenarios make any sense at all for Green Bay. He's coming to the Jets. They'll pay him something like 40 mil and get some needed draft capital in return for him
