I can't fault them for dominating the talent they were faced with. Honestly we played with a backup all year too
Give them a lead, and an offense that isn't constantly going three and out, and I think the talent can shine. It will help to finally be able to get the defense into more predictable down/distance plays.

I think some of the defense is on the upswing of their careers. Obviously Sauce, Q, JJ, even Reed is just hitting his true prime. There are not many who are on the downswing. Maybe CJ. I don't think the dropoff is going to be significant. And the defense will be helped from not having to be on the field 40 minutes a game and actually getting decent field position. Plus, if the Jets get early leads, opponents will have to become one-dimensional and will just throw. How often did that happen last year?
I'm kinda excited to see how our KR/PR look with Hardman. Our special teams was non-existent last year with Berrios (wondering if he was hurt last year, his performance just tanked).

martin never had anything close in his jet career to hall's 60 something yard TD run in denver.. he never had the level of burst & open field speed this kid has..
Rodgers may not be everyone's favorite, but I have respect for the guy. I also think he wants to win a SB and winning one for the Jets changes the talk about him. I can't wait to see how much bigger the chip on his shoulder will be when GB drafts a 1st round WR which they never did for him.
