anything is possible..pretty much a no brainer move given his contract.
can't 100% rule out a return, but it would have to be at a greatly reduced price. not that it's likely, just possible, although i'd be fine just moving on and going with younger guys
seems bowles has seen enough.. milliner didn't take a single snap the last 8 games of last season..It opens up some playing time for Milliner, and we can see if it is time to write him off as an injury riddled bust or whether there is something to salvage. I am not ready to write him off yet.
Plus I think it opens up $8MM in salary cap space.
Correct move , the prudent move, the only move. Now we move on with our younger players. All the crazy talk about him being back can be put to rest

if cutting giacomini would save 3+ million IMO, it's a matter of when, not if we cut bait..Saving 8 mill with no dead cap money for Cro. The easiest decision Mac will ever have to make.
Wonder if Breno could be next in saving 3M+. He's probably serviceable enough to keep around at 4M but in my eye's the worst of the offensive line starters. Now to get D'bricks number down.
The money was a reason, and so was his uneven performance last season. He'll be 32 next season, and might start a slow decline moving forward. I think the Jets have enough depth to make this decision anyway. Williams can start opposite Revis. And I'm not giving up on Dee Milliner just yet. Although he cannot get hurt again next season for any extended amount of time.

That $8M is 1/4th of the amount needed to hit that $50M, given a bump of $10M or so in the cap already.
Hate to be the one reminding JFU posters but, isn't this EXACTLY what NostraHYATT™ predicted was going to happen, just last week?
Yep.Wow.... What an incredible prediction. What's next? Is the sun gonna rise tomorrow?
Upgrade may be a bit of an overstatement. We can definitely upgrade at this position.
i don't know man, he'll be 32 next season & seems to be breaking down physically..HYATT™;72795 said:Upgrade may be a bit of an overstatement.
UFA CBs don't grow on trees, for free, and Cro still has good football left in him.
Better use of the money or nearly as good for less money - which is what HYATT™ believes you meant, Elias - that HYATT™ agrees with.

bad combo for a guy that makes his money on his freakish athletic ability..
