With Skrine and Williams on the roster, younger and probably as good or better, this was absolutely an essential roster move.

anything is possible..
but even if he were to return at the veteran's minimum it would for depth certainly not as a starter.. my thoughts anyway..

seems bowles has seen enough.. milliner didn't take a single snap the last 8 games of last season..

Wonder if Breno could be next in saving 3M+. He's probably serviceable enough to keep around at 4M but in my eye's the worst of the offensive line starters. Now to get D'bricks number down.

The money was a reason, and so was his uneven performance last season. He'll be 32 next season, and might start a slow decline moving forward. I think the Jets have enough depth to make this decision anyway. Williams can start opposite Revis. And I'm not giving up on Dee Milliner just yet. Although he cannot get hurt again next season for any extended amount of time.
if cutting giacomini would save 3+ million IMO, it's a matter of when, not if we cut bait..

It's just HYATT™'s way of reminding people they REALLY shouldn't take issue with the less obvious stuff he posts.
It's not that HYATT™ minds being questioned - always happy to explain the reasoning - but it DOES take up a lot of extra time when people refuse to believe the obvious and have to have it spelled out.
Upgrade may be a bit of an overstatement.
UFA CBs don't grow on trees, for free, and Cro still has good football left in him.

Yeah, and on top of that he has a chronic hip, that really messes him up when it flairs. It's been getting more consistent the last 3 years.. One out of three ain't good.
Shame, kind of liked Cro. Maybe he'll be back about $6M cheaper. And maybe not
