I think that their personalities would clash severely if Wink were to get the job. I sent the Jets an email and told them who to hire. Let's see if they listen. They will probably block all of my future emails.

I sent a letter to JG Taylor Spink, the editor of The Sporting News, and got a reporter fired. It was Dan Daniel, who had covered the Yankees. He was assigned to be the first Sporting News reporter to cover the Mets. (That was back in the day when each major league team had their own reporter to write a weekly column) I said the his coverage was mostly on the GM (ex-Yank GM George Weiss) instead of letting us get to know the younger players with whom we weren't familiar. I noted he had been writing basically the same story for 13 weeks. A week later, I got the standard letter "thank you for letting us know".
A week after that, Daniel was gone.

It isn't final. Let's hope they don't hire him. If they do I will probably do a lot more hunting next season. I sent the team an email and told them not to hire him. You don't wear an old hat with a new coat and he's about as old hat as they get.
Well they brought good Ole Wink back for a 2nd interview if I'm not mistaken.

That's true. They did bring him back for a 2nd interview but they also gave Harrison a 2nd interview. I think out of courtesy. They would have to be really, really dumb, ( as they often are ), to give him the job when he has already proved recently that he can't do it. I'm hoping Wink's 2nd was so they could tell him, in person, that he was not getting the job. I am still in hopes that they will hire the guy that I told them to hire. You know who I'm talking about so I won't jinx it by mentioning his name again.
I don't loathe the Wink hire, should it come to that. I think the Jim Leonhard buzz was mostly because he had played for the Jets, but look how long it took for the fan base to turn on Aaron Glenn, who had a much more storied playing career for the Jets.
The question is, should someone like Glenn, a first-time head coach, have more experienced coordinators? Or should they go the fresh, new route?

It doesn’t matter. Whoever they hire will be gone by the time the new cheatahs dynasty has ended and the rest of the teams get a couple years chance before the 3rd dynasty begins
