Colon hates Geno lol
Have a feeling he's not alone.
Colon hates Geno lol
Not a bad start for a team that some geniuses predicted that we would suck and that Fitz was garbage.
He was on SNY yesterday, or maybe it was Tuesday, and they asked him about Bowles announcing its Fitz's job, and Colon was not at all politically correct, he said its absolutely the right callColon hates Geno lol

Fitz IS garbage. Don't kid yourself.
Listen, the guy is the best option for this team at this time. That's not saying much when your only competition is Geno Smith.
But Fitz is playing well right now and the Jets SHOULD be riding that wave till its conclusion. He's being responsible with the football right now. He's making the team competitive and the Jets haven't been competitive in a very long time, not since Rex's early years.
BOTTOM LINE: Ryan Fitzpatrick will NEVER guide the NYJ to a SB championship. NEVER. That's the truth about Fitz.
Not really because Bowles said the same thing in the immediate aftermath of the incident. He said, very clearly for all the world to hear, if Fitz is playing well and the team is winning when Geno gets back, Fitz will remain he starter. He basically announced that it is now Fitz's job to lose, and it was a big story for a day or two. If Geno didn't hear that, its only because he didn't want to hear it, and if he didn't believe it, its only because he didn't want to believe it. Maybe he's just the kind of guy who blocks out bad news, but this is absolutely old news, Bowles made this CRYSTAL CLEAR before the season started.Couple of interesting tweets about Smith today. Said he found out it was Fitz's job, when Bowles announced it to the media. Never talked to him about it. Which is odd if true.
Oooooooo-kay. Okie dokie :thumbs-up:He wasn't worried though, he'll be a starter again, if not here, then some where else.

Trent Dilfer says hi.
That only happened because the Ravens had statistically the BEST defense in NFL history. What a completely absurd post.:stoned-smiley:

and after the two games you don't think we have a top defense in the nfl which is what I was saying.
we don't need fitz to carry a team like luck and the manning brothers all we need fitz to be is trent dilfer 2.0 which I think he can.
No. I ABSOLUTELY do NOT think the Jets have a defense comparable to the 2000 Ravens. Which is what you referred to, NOT just tops in the NFL. NOT EVEN CLOSE. The comparison alone is completely absurd.[/QUOTE
If all goes as planned the Jets could very well end up being the top defense in the league. You don't need to be historically the best defense but one that gives trouble to opposing qbs. We have made two offenses look like crap so far and that's without our defense having arguably its best player. When Sheldon comes back, we will be even better. A defense that could carry a qb

perhaps i should have been more clear..His arm strength in those first 2 preseason games was alarmingly bad I was very concerned.
Not bad now. Not strong but adequate.
What strikes me is his calmness and quiet confidence coming out of the huddle,
lining up, and surveying the field.
It's as if he's lining up for practice.
I think he's what this team needs right now - a field general
considering the last 2 QBS were not...
He lets every one else play with power and passion while he quietly leads.
i'm still waiting to see the lack of zip/arm strength that's supposed to be such a issue for fitzpatrick..
does fitzpatrick have a gun?? of course not..
but he ain't pennington after multiple shoulder surgeries either..
