I'm sure he is. But poor Sam LaPorta is having to come to terms with his career is over now...
I don't see it. He's third on the depth chart and reports are the Lions are looking to add more at the position. He will get his snaps on special teams. Can't argue with them being a good team of late though!

This team is lacking a true blocking TE and another WR. But not a 31 year old WR coming off a major injury who wants a big multi year contract. Especially not one with metal issues.

Not very often. This franchise has been the off season champions for the past couple of decades. But look at the Super Bowl champions. They all seem to have tons of comp picks. They build around young core players and young FAs with upside. This team seems to be doing it right for the first time in ages. Plenty of draft capital and are setting up next season to have plenty of cap space and multiple compensatory picks that will give them the flexibility to move up.
