i wasn't very excited 3 weeks ago, I am now.
Really curious to see what some of the young guys look like. Jalin Marshall, and Peake. Even guys like QVale.

i believe if the OL holds up, the offense will be great..
This is always such a huge day...it feels like the first day of fall, and all the great things that come with it.
All I care about is coming out healthy. Jets were pretty bad last year in August, on both sides of the ball

Yep healthy is #1 on my list for tonight..
#2 - seeing Jalin Marshal and Charon Peake in game situations
#3 - Seeing where Petty is at the moment to see where he will be come Game 4 of pre-season. His growth in training camp will determine if he is still #3 (we will carry 4 QBs and Hack will be 4th) or if he will unseat Geno for #2 and make him expendable in a trade

I also want to see Lee and Jenkins and what aspect of the defense they could impact...speed!
I think the best case scenario for Petty is he proves there's HOPE for him. Playing against 3rd and 4th stringers will not convince anyone that he's ready to be second string and only a play away from being the QB.
He's already proved that... Anyone that thinks Pettys not gonna make the roster this year is clueless as to what the FO and coaching staff think about him as well as what the they are trying to do with him and Hack... Petty will be #3 guaranteed the question is wil he show the Jets FO and Coaching staff enough to be confident in him to be the #2 and I for one have a gut feeling he will....
Petty has not proved anything. I like him, and he looked good last preseason, but in all fairness, he hasn't proven a damn thing.
I'd like Fitz and geno to sit out, and watch petty and hack run the first team and second. They need the reps wroth a quality unit.

He's proved nothing to us as Jets fans.... why? Well we haven't seen him everyday in OTA's Training Camp, Practices, in the film room.... But I think like I said a million times before for 3 games last year the Jets were comfortable enough to have him as a backup while Geno recovered from today's 1 yr anniversary of the punch...As well as shown enough to keep him on the gameday roster all of last year and not go to the practice squad.... Now I agree from your perspective he hasn't proven anything yet but that perspective hold water until he plays in the regular season.... cause even if he shows enough to be the back up this year... another good camp. improvement with each preseason game it still means nothing till it's for real... But from my perspective he has proved a lot so far and unfortunately to mydogs point of the only way he proves to be a back up is in pre-season against 3rd and 4th stringers with maybe some gametime against a mix of first and mostly 2nd and 3rd stringers...
Yeah I think we need to see Petty as much a possible... Ratliffe looked great in Pre-season.... maybe he just never got the opportunity to really show who he was IDK but we certainly don't want a repeat
